Topps opened 2025-26 Topps Stadium Club Basketball hobby boxes for pre-order on Tuesday, October 27 at 12 p.m. ET on topps.com. The price is $199.99 per hobby box, per Sports Illustrated and OTIA. Topps' own page was blocking our automated check, so we are relying on those two reports for the numbers. A release date has not been confirmed: checklist sites list it as TBA.
What we know about the box
- Price: $199.99 per hobby box (SI, OTIA).
- Autographs: about one per box on average (SI, OTIA). The set includes Lone Star Signatures autographs, per Courtyard and Checklist Insider.
- Inserts: Cooper Flagg Rookie Takeover, a Luka Doncic Pure Focus short print that appears to be a refractor in preview images, and a returning Beam Team short print (SI). The Beam Team design had not been previewed when SI wrote.
- Rookie class: Cooper Flagg, Ace Bailey, Dylan Harper, Kon Knueppel and VJ Edgecombe are among the names listed.
- Not confirmed: packs per box, cards per pack, odds, a final checklist and a ship date. Treat any number you see for those as unverified until Topps publishes them.
Why it matters for resale
- Mid-price basketball box with a hit. At $199.99 it costs more than the 2026-27 Topps Flagship Basketball hobby box ($169.99) but far less than the high-end basketball products, which is the pitch for buyers who want a rookie-class box with an auto.
- Rookie names drive demand. Flagg is the headline rookie. Cards of him in a short-print or insert slot are what most buyers will chase.
- Stadium Club has a following. Photo-first designs have a loyal collector base, and Topps lists Stadium Club in other sports too, like our recent look at Stadium Club WWE retail boxes.
- Pre-order timing. Presale boxes sometimes trade above retail before they ship, but we have no sold data for this product, so we won't put a number on it.
Fee math
eBay's published fee for sports trading cards is about 13.25% of the sale up to $7,500, plus $0.40 per order over $10 (check the live fee page before you list). To get back $199.99 before shipping and packaging, a sealed box needs to sell for roughly $232. Anything below that, and your pre-order is a loss before you ship it. We have no completed sales for this product yet.
The case against
- Unknown ship date. Your money is tied up for an unspecified time. If the box never trades above the price, you are waiting for nothing.
- "About one auto per box" is an average. Some boxes will be thin on value, and the Flagg chase will be rare.
- Unconfirmed configuration. Without the pack count and odds, nobody can calculate expected value yet.
- Supply is unknown. Topps hasn't said how many boxes it is making. A big print run means weaker resale. Pre-order sellouts, if they happen, would change the picture.
- Hobby boxes have a lot of competition. There are several other basketball products this season, so buyer attention is split.
Flip, hold or pass
This is analysis, not a promise.
- Flip: Only if boxes show sold listings clearly above roughly $232 once presales start. Before then there's nothing to point to.
- Hold: One or two boxes to open or keep sealed if you collect rookies or Stadium Club.
- Pass: Stacking multiple boxes on spec before the release date, odds and checklist are known.
