2026 Topps Finest Formula 1 opened for pre-order on October 27, 2026 through an EQL draw on Topps' launch site. The hobby box is $289.99. Topps' own announcement on X lists 6 packs per box, 10 cards per pack, and 1 relic or autograph card per box. We have no sold data yet, so this is a pre-launch read.
What is in a 2026 Topps Finest F1 hobby box
From Topps' launch page and its X post:
- Price: $289.99 per hobby box
- Contents: 6 packs of 10 cards (60 cards), with one relic or autographed relic in every box per the box art and Topps' listing
- Case: Topps also lists a sealed case of 8 boxes at $2,319.99 (that is $289.99 a box)
- How it sells: a free EQL entry, one entry per person, no bots. The launch page does not list a per-customer box limit
According to a third-party checklist site (Checklist Insider), the set is built like this. Treat it as unconfirmed, because that site says the checklist is subject to change:
- Base set: 325 cards, split into Common (1 to 100), Uncommon (101 to 200), Rare (201 to 300) and Super Rare (301 to 325)
- Autographs: Finest Autographs, Finest Drivers Autographs, Finest Duos Signatures, Signature Fashion and Starting Grid Signatures
- Relics: Finest Autograph Relics, F1 Relics, Finest Relics, Raceday Relics and Track Attack Relics
- Inserts: Finest Drivers, Finest Formulas, Finest Idols, Finest Speed, Headliners, Nightmare Fuel, The Man, Worlds Finest and more, plus The Grail continuing from other Topps F1 products
- Parallels: listed as to be announced, so there is no numbering to plan around yet
Release date: not confirmed
Topps' release calendar shows a pre-order window of October 26 to November 9, 2026, with dates subject to change. Checklist Insider estimates a November 19, 2026 release. Topps' launch page does not list a ship date, so we are not calling one. Pre-orders can slip, and your money is tied up until the box ships.
Why it matters to resellers and holders
- Guaranteed hit, but not a guaranteed good one. "Relic or autograph" includes plain relics. A relic can be worth much less than a signed card, and Topps has not published odds in what we could read.
- A Finest launch, a few weeks after Chrome. The mainline set already came out: see our breakdown of 2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1. Finest is a separate, higher-priced hobby product with fewer cards per box, so it competes for the same collector budget.
- The case price gives no discount. 8 boxes at $2,319.99 is the same $289.99 a box.
- Pre-order boxes tend to list early. Sealed boxes often show up as presales on eBay before they ship. We have not checked sold listings for this product, because it opened for pre-order today. Do not assume a premium.
Fee math
eBay's published rate for trading cards is 13.25% plus $0.40 per order on the item price plus shipping and sales tax (check the current fee page before you list). On a $289.99 box with free shipping, fees come to about $38.80, so you need to sell for roughly $335 or more to get your money back after fees, and more once you pay for shipping and packaging. Anything lower is a loss.
Flip, hold or pass
This is analysis, not a promise, and we have no sold data to lean on.
- Flip: Only if presales on eBay clear the break-even above by a real margin once you see actual sold listings, not asking prices.
- Hold: Enter the draw for a box you want to rip or keep sealed, if you are fine waiting until the release date firms up.
- Pass: Buying on the secondary market at a big premium before the parallels, odds and print runs are known. The guaranteed hit is the only floor, and its value is unproven.
