Gotye's Making Mirrors 15th Anniversary 2LP comes out November 20, 2026 on colored vinyl for $39.99 to $45.99, depending on the retailer. One version, yellow and purple vinyl with a signed art card, is the one collectors are watching. No pressing number has been published, so there's no "how rare" figure. On eBay, presale copies sold for $61.30 to $111.49 (August to October), and used older pressings sold for $129.99 to $160 (checked November 2, 2026).

Short version: the retail price is low, the old pressings are expensive, and a new reissue usually pulls those prices down. Don't buy this expecting a quick double.

How much is the Gotye Making Mirrors 15th Anniversary vinyl?

Retail prices vary by store:

The signed item is a 12" x 12" art print, not a signed record, per the product description. It is pressed as a 45 RPM audiophile 2LP and includes the original booklet. Waiting Room lists the label as Republic and says pre-orders placed by November 6 should arrive by the November 20 street date. Gotye's own store links the vinyl reissue to an official pre-order page, and we couldn't confirm a price there.

Gotye Making Mirrors release date

November 20, 2026, per the retailers above. One international listing gives November 23 for its own market. The album first came out in 2011 and includes "Somebody That I Used to Know" (featuring Kimbra), per the retailer descriptions.

What Making Mirrors sells for on eBay

We checked eBay sold listings for "gotye making mirrors vinyl" on November 2, 2026:

  • New 15th Anniversary presale copies: $61.30 (August 23, UK seller, duties included, free delivery) and $111.49 (September 2 and October 9, Italy seller, cream vinyl, plus $30.02 delivery and import fees).
  • Used older pressings: $129.99 (August 30, 2023 pressing, NM, listed as /1000), $154 (August 20, 2012 first US pressing), $150 (October 4) and $160 (October 20).
  • CDs: about $5 to $19, for context.

That's only seven vinyl sales, and the new copies were presale listings from overseas sellers. No signed art card edition has sold yet.

Why this matters for resale

  • Low entry price. $40 is cheap next to the $130 to $160 old pressings.
  • A big catalog song. The album's best-known track keeps casual fans searching for it.
  • Signed art card. The signed edition is the version collectors are most likely to chase.
  • Presale premiums. Early overseas listings sold above retail.

Risks and the case against

  • No pressing number. Many stores carry it, so supply may be wide.
  • Reissues cool old-pressing prices. The $130 to $160 used sales exist because no new copy did. Once US stores ship, that gap should close.
  • The signature is on an art card. Not on the record or the sleeve.
  • Gotye stopped making music years ago. Demand is nostalgic and narrow compared with current vinyl favorites.
  • Fees and shipping. See our reseller fees guide; a $40 item loses a large share to fees and postage.
  • Presale prices aren't a market. Two of the three new-copy sales were the same seller's cream listing.

Flip, hold or pass

This is analysis, not a promise.

  • Flip: Only if you get the signed art card edition at $39.99 and early copies keep selling above $60 after fees. That's a small margin.
  • Hold: If you're a fan. A 15th Anniversary edition with a signed print is a reasonable keepsake.
  • Pass: On paying $100 or more for a presale from abroad. The retail price is $39.99 to $45.99 and US stock arrives November 20.
