The Metro 2039 Collector's Edition is reported at $299.99 and the game launches February 4, 2027 (February 5 in some regions) on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, per KeenGamer. The price comes from reporting and retailer listings, not an official price sheet. Standard is $69.99 and Digital Deluxe is $99.99, per KeenGamer. Pre-orders opened on October 13, 2026.
What is in the Collector's Edition
Per KeenGamer and Prima Games:
- A full-size, wearable replica of the Spartan helmet, based on the game's original 3D model
- A SteelBook
- A hardback art book
- The story expansion and the digital bonuses from the physical Deluxe Edition
4A Games revealed the helmet at Gamescom 2026, per games.gg. Reports say it is made in limited quantities and sold through selected retailers, with Amazon and GameStop named for the US. GameStop's listing showed it unavailable with a per-account purchase limit when we searched, so confirm stock with your own retailer.
Why this matters for resale
- The helmet is the draw. A wearable prop replica is rarer than a statue or a SteelBook, and it only comes in this box.
- Early sold data is high. Our releases page recorded an average of $664 across 5 eBay sales as of October 14, 2026. That is more than double the reported retail.
- Limited supply. Reports describe small production, and stock was gone at some listings quickly.
- Platform split. Separate PS5, Xbox and PC versions mean buyers search by console.
Risks and the case against
- Five sales is a thin sample. They were recorded two weeks ago, while stock was tightest, and may be pre-order spots. Prices often fall once more units ship.
- Reported price. We could not confirm $299.99 on an official page, and European leaks say €299.99 and £259.99.
- Months of waiting. Release is in February. Pre-orders can be cancelled or delayed.
- Selling a pre-order you do not hold. That can break marketplace rules. Check eBay's policy first.
- Huge, awkward box. A full-size helmet is expensive to ship and easy to damage. See our reseller fees guide.
Flip, hold or pass
This is analysis, not a promise.
- Flip: If you already hold a pre-order at retail and completed sales stay well above $299.99 after fees once copies ship.
- Hold: If you are a Metro fan. A wearable helmet is hard to replace later.
- Pass: If you can only buy through a third-party markup. Chasing the early spike is the riskiest way in.
We track limited editions on our releases page, and the lowkey flips category has more. A similar game-box case is our Persona 4 Revival Collector's Edition write-up. See also how to find products that resell.
