2026 Panini Score-A-Treat Bundle: Worth Flipping?

· 5 min read · By the Friends & Family team

Forty packs of Halloween cards for $20, now with autographs and parallels numbered down to 1-of-1. It's a great trick-or-treat giveaway. As a flip, our sports card lead ML says it isn't one. Here's the math.

2026 Panini Score-A-Treat went on sale on paniniamerica.net on October 2 at $20 per bundle, and it's already showing sold out there. It's Panini's cheap Halloween product: 40 small packs you can hand out instead of candy. This year it's multi-sport and adds autographs and numbered parallels. Short version: fun to rip and a fair price for what it is, but the eBay margin on a $20 bundle is a few dollars at best before shipping.

What's in a 2026 Panini Score-A-Treat bundle

From Panini's official product page:

  • Price: $20.00 per bundle on paniniamerica.net
  • Contents: 40 packs per bundle, 3 cards per pack (120 cards)
  • Case: 20 bundles per case. Panini ships orders of 20 as a sealed case.
  • Parallels: 1 parallel per pack on average
  • Sports: multi-sport this year, with rookies, veterans and legends from basketball, football, baseball and fighting

What collectors will be chasing:

  • Bundle-exclusive numbered parallels: Holo Bats /399, Holo Ghosts /299, Holo Witches /149, Holo Trick-or-Treat /99, Holo Halloween /31, Holo Boo! /13 and the one-of-one Holo Midnight.
  • Autographs: Base Holo Autographs, plus Haunted House and Monster Bash Holo Autographs, randomly inserted. Panini doesn't list the signers on the product page. ML says Panini's previews include Aaron Judge, but we haven't seen a full autograph checklist.
  • Halloween subsets and parallels: Haunted House and Monster Bash subsets, with Pumpkins, Slime and Holo Webs parallels.
  • New short prints: bundle-exclusive Spook-A-Palooza and Altered inserts.

Panini's launch announcement also mentions Holo Black Cats /175, Holo Skeletons /149, Holo Spooky /99 and a super short-printed Hexed insert. Those aren't on the bundle page, so they may come from other Score-A-Treat formats. Panini hasn't published odds for any of these.

Why collectors are paying attention

Score-A-Treat used to be a simple product. The 2025 version was football only, with themed base cards and parallels and not much to chase. For 2026, Panini kept the price at $20 but added numbered cards, autographs and super short prints. That means a 50-cent trick-or-treat pack can now hold a genuinely scarce card.

It's also multi-sport now, with names like VJ Edgecombe, Dante Moore and Aaron Judge on the packaging. ML points out that the 2026 version is unlicensed, which is why you'll see players without official league logos. In his view, the extra numbered cards and autos make it just as exciting as past years, if not more so, for the price, and multi-sport helps draw more interest.

It's also a staple for breakers, who buy these by the case to use as giveaways.

Retail vs. eBay: what it's selling for

Retail is $20.00 per bundle on paniniamerica.net. Best Buy listed it at $19.99, and ML saw it at about $22 at Walmart. Here's the eBay market from sold listings as of October 3:

  • Single bundles (in hand): 12 sales since September 25, from $16.50 to $37.95, with most between $29.95 and $34.99 and the middle of the pack around $31. Most sold with free shipping. The $16.50 sale was an auction with $8.99 shipping on top, and a couple of the sales were Best Offer listings, which can close below the listed price.
  • Earlier presales: two bundles sold in September at $49.99 and $54.99 before stock arrived. Prices have come down since then.
  • Sealed 20-bundle cases: three sales at $429.95 to $475, about $21.50 to $24 per bundle. Compare that with $400 at retail.
  • 2025 Score-A-Treat, for comparison: last year's football-only bundle was the same 40-pack format at a similar low retail price (we couldn't confirm Panini's official 2025 price). Over the past three months, single bundles have mostly sold for $19.95 to $27.99, often plus $6 to $8 shipping. That's the "held its value" ML mentioned: roughly $20 to $28 a year later, not a big jump.

Now the math. eBay takes 13.25% plus $0.40 on a trading card sale, and the fee is charged on the sale price plus shipping and sales tax. A bundle that sells for $31 with free shipping, with around 7% sales tax, pays about $4.80 in fees, leaving roughly $26. Your cost is $20 plus tax, about $21.40. That's around $5 a bundle before you pay to ship it, and shipping costs come out of that too. On a case, a $450 sale leaves about $386 after fees, which is less than the $400 plus tax you paid.

Flip, hold or pass? Our take

ML runs sports cards in our Discord, and his call is clear: not a good flip. He posted it as an awareness post for members who want them anyway. Here's why:

  1. It's everywhere at $20. Bags were already up at Walmart, and they'll be around $20 at plenty of stores and easy to get. When a product is that easy to find, the eBay premium doesn't last.
  2. The margin is tiny. After eBay fees and shipping, a $30 sale barely beats your cost. A case resells for less than retail plus tax right now.
  3. The upside is slow and small. ML notes these have held their value once they're gone, and he thinks they may climb closer to $25 to $30. That's a hold-for-a-year play for a few dollars, not a quick flip.

Where it makes sense: if you're a breaker who needs giveaways, if you have local buyers lined up, or if you just want 40 packs for trick-or-treaters. At 50 cents a pack, it's one of the cheapest ways to rip cards with a real chase.

What to watch

  • Big pulls. If a Holo Midnight 1-of-1 or a big autograph like Judge shows up early, sealed demand can tick up.
  • Restocks after Halloween. Seasonal products often get marked down at retail once October ends. That's usually a better time to buy for a long hold than now.
  • The autograph checklist. Panini hasn't listed the signers or odds yet. A strong autograph list would make opening a bundle more interesting.

Every Topps and Panini drop gets a breakdown in our sports card channel before it goes live: pricing, what's worth buying, what to skip, and the details you need on drop day. When ML says "not a flip," members save their money. When he says "enter up for all," they're ready at the drop.

And when it's time to sell, you don't have to rely on eBay. Our WTB and WTS channels are where big sellers, breakers and collectors in the community buy and sell with each other every day, and that's often the fastest way to move sealed boxes and cases.
