Analogue's Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+ go up for pre-order on Monday, October 19 at 8 a.m. PT, at $219.99 each, with shipping in December 2026. The company's older Super Nt and Mega Sg are long out of production, and used and sealed units are selling for two to four times that price on eBay. That gap is why resellers are watching this one.
Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+: what we know
From Analogue's own product pages and store listings:
- Pre-order: October 19, 8 a.m. PDT, at the Analogue store (one outlet lists 9 a.m., so go with the store's time)
- Price: $219.99 for either console
- Ships: December 2026. Analogue hasn't given an exact date and says more details are coming in the next few weeks
- Super Nt+: plays Super NES and Super Famicom cartridges, in Classic, SF and Black
- Mega Sg+: plays Genesis, Mega Drive and Master System cartridges, in USA, EU and JP versions
- What's new: built-in Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless controller support, USB-C power, a USB-A port for DAC support or charging, and hot-swappable cartridges
- Still FPGA hardware, no emulation. HDMI output goes up to 1080p, and both consoles are region free
- Controllers cost extra. The 8BitDo SN30 (Super Nt+) and M30 (Mega Sg+) are each $29.99
There are cuts too. Neither console has openFPGA, the Analogue 3D features (save states, 4K output) or bundled games, and neither plays ROM files. Analogue's page for the Mega Sg+ doesn't say whether it supports the 32X, so we can't confirm that.
Why people think these will sell out
Analogue's consoles have a track record of going out of stock, and the originals got a "final run" at $199.99 in October 2022 after being sold out for a long stretch. The company doesn't publish how many units it makes, so we don't know whether the "+" models are limited. Analogue hasn't announced a quantity limit or a production cap, and we'd treat any claim that these are "limited" as unconfirmed.
What we can see is what the old models sell for. From eBay's sold listings this week:
Analogue Super Nt (original)
- Factory sealed, new: $779 to $850 (sales on Oct 12, 13 and 16)
- Used, with box: roughly $600 to $700
Analogue Mega Sg (original)
- New, in box: $499.99 to $750
- Used and complete: $499 to $800
- One special-edition unit sold for $2,000
Those are prices for consoles nobody can buy from Analogue anymore. They tell you the demand is real. They don't tell you what a Super Nt+ will fetch, because it's a different, newer model that Analogue is selling at retail.
Flip, hold or pass
Our take, based on public information only:
- Flip, if you get one at $219.99. At that price, the original's $500 to $850 sold range is a big cushion, even after eBay's roughly 13% fees and shipping. The risk is that new models don't hold the old ones' prices once they're actually shipping to everyone.
- Hold if you can wait. The consoles ship in December, and the prices of the originals may drop once the "+" models are widely available. We can't promise where prices go, because nobody has sold a "+" model yet.
- Pass if you can't get a unit at retail. Buying a pre-order from someone else at a markup is where this goes wrong, because the margin is gone and the delivery date is still months out.
A few practical notes:
- Pick the version you'd actually sell. We don't know yet which versions will be in demand. Classic, SF and Black on the Super Nt+, or USA, EU and JP on the Mega Sg+, may not all trade the same.
- Your money is tied up until December. You pay at pre-order, and the console doesn't ship for about two months. Don't count it as cash.
- You can't sell it before you have it. Selling a pre-order slot or a console you haven't received yet breaks most marketplaces' rules and leaves you on the hook if shipping slips.
- Check the return policy on Analogue's store before you order more than one.
- Be careful with listings that come up before December. Anything on eBay claiming to be a "Super Nt+" in hand before shipping starts deserves a close look.
How to get ready
Have your account, address and payment saved on the Analogue store before 8 a.m. PT on Monday. High-demand drops like this go fast, and a slow checkout can be the difference.
