The Final Fantasy VII Revelation Collector's Edition costs $349.99 and is sold only through the Square Enix Store. The game launches April 8, 2027. The store's own artwork says the offer is "only available whilst stocks last".
Pre-orders are already open. Our releases page shows completed eBay sales averaging $719 across 10 sales as of October 26, 2026. That is more than double the retail price on a product that has not shipped yet.
What is in the Collector's Edition
Per the Square Enix Store listing and its product artwork:
- The game with reversible cover art, in a SteelBook case. The store art lists PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. Switch 2 copies use a Game-Key Card, according to Nintendo Life.
- A premium Cloud, Zack and Sephiroth statue. The store describes a diorama base that can be split apart to display the figures together or on their own.
- A hardback art book and a mini soundtrack CD.
- A Magic: The Gathering "Final Showdown" promo card. The store says it is included in the PS5, Xbox and Switch 2 box, English copies only.
- The Story Expansion Pass, with two story DLCs: Sephiroth and Vincent & the Turks.
- Digital items: Mecha-Chocobo & Moogle and Polydroid Alexander summoning materia, the Nymphwing Bracelet, the Risk Taker's Choker and a Reclaimant Choker & Survival Set.
The other editions are cheaper. Nintendo Wire and Siliconera report a Day One Edition at $69.99 and a Deluxe Edition at $99.99, so the Collector's Edition adds roughly $250 for the statue, the DLC and the extra items. We did not confirm those two prices on the store page itself, so treat them as reported.
Release date and where to buy
- Game release: April 8, 2027 (announced during Sony's State of Play and shown on the Square Enix Store artwork).
- Where: the Collector's Edition is a Square Enix Store exclusive in North America. It is not a Best Buy or Amazon item.
- Pre-order bonus: Siliconera reports a Sylph Summoning Materia for pre-orders placed by April 7, 2027. Check the store listing for the final terms.
- Japan: a separate, much larger ¥77,777 bundle for the whole Remake trilogy exists, but Nintendo Wire reports it does not ship to the US.
Why it matters for resale
- Store exclusive with limited stock. There is one place to buy it at retail. Once the store sells through, the only source is the aftermarket.
- A real statue, not a trinket. Cloud, Zack and Sephiroth together is the picture collectors of this franchise want, and it is the main reason this box exists.
- Early sales are well above retail. $719 average against $349.99 is a wide gap. It is a 10-sale sample, so it is a signal and not a price you can count on.
- Final Fantasy collector editions have a following. For a similar limited-edition case, see our Star Wars: Galactic Racer Collector's Edition breakdown.
Risks and the case against
- Pre-release prices are early prices. Listings for something that has not shipped can be a handful of eager buyers. The premium can fall once sellers receive stock and list at once.
- Your cash is tied up for months. If you pre-order, the box does not arrive until around April 2027, and you cannot sell it as sealed stock before then. Selling an item you do not have yet can break marketplace rules, so check eBay's pre-order listing policy first.
- "Whilst stocks last" cuts both ways. If Square Enix prints more than the market wants, the squeeze never happens. We could not find a published quantity.
- Fees and shipping eat margin. A heavy boxed statue costs real money to ship and insure. Run the numbers with our eBay seller fees calculator and reseller fees guide.
- Damage risk. Collector boxes lose value fast with crushed corners or a dented SteelBook, so factor in packing and returns.
Flip, hold or pass
This is analysis, not a promise.
- Flip: If you already hold a pre-order and want out, the early eBay sales are the strongest argument for selling. The honest tradeoff is that you are selling something you have not received.
- Hold: If you are a Final Fantasy VII collector. This is the version with the statue, and you avoid the risk of the premium fading.
- Pass: Paying a big premium for a pre-release listing just to flip it. You pay now, wait months and the gap you paid for can disappear.
We track limited editions like this on our releases page, and the lowkey flips category has more. New to this? Start with how to find products that resell.
