LEGO and Daft Punk have announced a partnership, and the first product is a LEGO Ideas set called Daft Punk Concert. LEGO confirmed it on October 22, 2026, one day after a 30-second teaser showing a red 2x4 brick. Nothing is on sale and there's nothing to pre-order. But this is a big one for collectors, so it's worth knowing the facts now.
What LEGO confirmed
- The partnership: The Daft Punk robots are entering the LEGO universe across products, content and brand experiences. LEGO's release ends with "More to come in 2027."
- The set: LEGO Ideas has approved Daft Punk Concert, a fan submission that recreates the pyramid stage from the 2007 Alive tour. It's moving into development with LEGO's designers.
- The fan behind it: The idea came from a Luxembourgish father-and-son project (credited to RobotRock, with Patrick Harboun named as the submission's owner). It won the Grand Prize in LEGO Ideas' 2020 Music to Our Ears challenge and later reached the 10,000 supporters needed for review.
- The launch film: Two Daft Punk minifigures follow a glowing red brick to a brick-built console, set to "Voyager" and "Human After All."
- Timing: LEGO says only that more is coming in 2027. Most outlets treat the set as a 2027 release, but LEGO hasn't stated a date.
What we don't know
Price, piece count and release date are all unannounced. LEGO's own announcement says the image it shows is a fan model, not the final product, so don't judge the final set from it. We also don't know whether it will include minifigures of the duo or whether it will be a limited run.
That means any price you see floating around right now is a guess. Treat rumours as unconfirmed until LEGO or a retailer lists the set.
Is this a flip?
It's too early to call. The set doesn't exist yet, so here's how we'd think about it:
Why it could do well. Daft Punk has a huge, loyal, mostly adult fan base, and Ideas sets are aimed at collectors. A music-stage set from a duo that no longer tours is the kind of crossover that draws buyers who don't normally buy LEGO. Add the fact that LEGO is calling this a wider partnership, and you can expect heavy attention at launch.
Why to stay careful. LEGO Ideas sets are usually regular catalog releases, not tiny limited runs, and plenty stay in stock for a while. If it's widely available at retail, the money is made later, once it retires and supply dries up, not on day one. We don't have sold data because there's nothing to sell, and we won't make up a resale price.
How we'd prepare
- Join LEGO Insiders (free). LEGO's page points readers there for more news, and Insiders can get early access to some launches.
- Skip any pre-orders from third-party sellers. Nothing has launched, so a listing with a price right now is not a real product listing.
- Plan to buy at retail on launch day, then decide whether to hold it sealed. Our guide to how to invest in LEGO sets covers how holding works, and why your buy price decides your profit.
- Watch for the next announcement. LEGO says more is coming in 2027, so a price and date could arrive well before launch.
If you also flip music, the Daft Punk fan base overlaps with record collectors. Our guide to reselling vinyl records and our vinyl category are a good place to start.
