It was a quiet day in our #lowkey-flips channel, so today's post is short. There are two things worth a look: where the Hot Wheels RLC Skyline R32 stands a day after it sold out, and a Star Wars x RockLove Bo-Katan Helmet Ring that came back in stock last night and was sold out again by this morning.
Hot Wheels RLC Skyline R32: day two after the sellout
The Hot Wheels RLC Exclusive Nissan Skyline GT-R (BNR32) went live on Mattel Creations at 9:00 AM PT on September 29. When we checked the product page this morning (September 30), it still read Sold Out, with no restock date listed. We covered the drop itself in detail in our full RLC Skyline R32 breakdown. Here's the quick version:
- Retail: $28.00, per the Mattel Creations product page
- Limit: 2 per customer
- Who could buy: Hot Wheels Red Line Club (RLC) members only
- Our team's estimated resale: $55+ (Slumpd's call before the drop)
Slumpd was upfront that this is not the Skyline we've done well with in the past. It's a different model and prices aren't as strong. He also said it's a first-time casting, so his $55+ estimate could be too low: "we really just have to wait and see." About 11 minutes after launch, he followed up with: "Quick sellout & a broken manual experience for some. Should likely do better than presales looked like."
What eBay looks like now
We checked eBay US around 8:30 AM ET on September 30, sorted by newest listings. These are active listings (asking prices), not sales. eBay's Sold filter sent us to a sign-in page, so we still don't have confirmed sold prices.
- The search showed 76 results. That count includes some other R32 models, like the RLC Pandem R/C car and older Legends Tour cars.
- Most new listings for this car were presales or "confirmed order" listings from sellers who don't have it yet. Only a few said "in hand."
- Most Buy It Now asks ran from about $60 to $80, usually plus $0 to $13 shipping. The lowest US ask we saw was $54.99 plus shipping. A few asked more, up to $117 from an overseas seller.
- The highest bid we saw on a running auction was $58.88, and another auction was at $37 with 3 bids. Neither had ended.
- One multi-quantity presale listing at $64.99 with free shipping showed 61 sold. We can't see each sale's final price without signing in.
Our read: asks have held in the $60s. That's in line with Slumpd's $55+ estimate, but it doesn't prove the car will sell there. Presale asks aren't sales, and prices can move once cars actually ship.
Can you cancel or return it?
You can't cancel, but you can return it. Mattel's FAQ says: "Once an order is submitted, it cannot be changed or canceled." The Mattel Creations return policy allows returns:
- Within 30 days of receipt
- In the condition you received it, in the complete original box and packaging
- For the purchase price plus sales tax. Shipping and processing fees aren't refunded.
- Not for orders shipped outside the US, and processing takes a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks
Because of that return window, we'd call this low-risk: if the market doesn't work out, a sealed car can go back and you lose the fees, not the whole $28. Before the drop, Slumpd said you could "cancel or return" to Mattel. Mattel's own FAQ rules out cancelling, so a return is your only way out.
Our take: hold for now, or flip once it's in hand. Keep it sealed and price it from sold listings once in-hand sales come in. Before you list a car you don't have yet, read the presale warning in our full breakdown. Mattel's RLC Membership Agreement bans pre-selling online exclusives.
Star Wars x RockLove Bo-Katan Helmet Ring: in stock, then gone
Last night around 9:15 PM ET, Vinch shared a restock of the Star Wars x RockLove Bo-Katan Helmet Ring on the Cinemark Shop, with a joke about members using it to get engaged. The listing showed it in stock at $99.00.
Per the Cinemark Shop product page:
- Price: $99.00, sizes 6 to 13
- Made of: Nickel-free sterling silver and enamel, based on Bo-Katan's helmet visor, with distressed blue enamel and "NITE OWLS" on the band
- Packaging: Comes in a Star Wars | RockLove collector's box
- Labeled: Limited Edition (no quantity given)
- Limit: None listed on the page
- Status this morning: Sold Out, with a "Notify Me When Available" option
Retail vs. resale: Our team didn't post a resale estimate for this one. On eBay this morning, we found just one active listing that looked like this ring, a "Bo-Katan Domed Helmet Ring" in size 7 at $90 or Best Offer. That's under retail, and it may not even be the exact same design. Other Star Wars x RockLove rings were listed anywhere from about $77 to $155. With so few listings, there's no real price for this ring yet.
Cinemark Shop's cancel and return rules
- Cancelling: Cinemark Shop's ordering policy says an order can only be changed or cancelled while it still shows "New" status. Once it moves to processing, it can't be.
- Returns: The product page says "Easy returns within 30 days of delivery," and the shop's return policy offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on most items. Items can't be returned if they've been used or worn. The shop doesn't offer exchanges. It sends a prepaid return label but takes the standard shipping cost out of your refund.
- Exclusions: Products marked final sale or exclusive can't be returned. This page calls the ring "Limited Edition" and doesn't say "exclusive" or "final sale," so the standard policy appears to apply. Check your order confirmation to be sure.
Our take: pass as a flip, unless you want it for yourself. The one listing we found is under retail, and nobody on our team called it a flip. If you're a Mandalorian fan and grab it on a restock, you have a 30-day window to return it as long as you don't wear it.
How FNF members hear about these
Both of these came through our lowkey flips Discord channel. That's where our team posts under-the-radar drops with the retail price, an estimated resale, the time, the per-person limit and a direct link to the product, and pings members so they don't miss the window. Follow-ups like Slumpd's post 11 minutes after launch mean members hear how a drop actually went, not just that it happened.
Hot Wheels drops like the RLC Skyline are also a big part of our Hot Wheels group. New to the category? Start with whether reselling Hot Wheels is worth it, or browse more lowkey flips.
