Both are preorders that ship December 11, 2026. No pressing number has been published for either, so there's no "how rare" figure. We couldn't pull eBay sold prices for these two, because neither has shipped and eBay showed a bot check when we tried on November 6. The closest data we have: the sold-out tour city variants averaged $142 across 10 sales (our team's check on October 5).
Short version: these are two more entries in a very crowded set of pressings. Neither is scarce on paper, so treat them as collector buys, not flips.
How much is the Black Parade 20th Anniversary hologram LP?
Prices on the official store, checked November 6, 2026:
- Laser-etched hologram LP: $36.98. A single LP with laser-etched hologram sides, in a gatefold jacket with a removable O-card, a new art insert and a printed inner sleeve. The store calls it exclusive to the MCR store. The page is a preorder that ships December 11.
- New Jersey Devils exclusive LP: $27.98. A single LP on New Jersey Devils black and red vinyl, same gatefold, O-card, insert and sleeve. Preorder, ships December 11.

Black Parade 20th Anniversary vinyl release date
December 11, 2026 for both new variants, per each product page. The album itself came out in October 2006, and the 20th anniversary editions started shipping in October 2026. The hologram LP page was published on the store on September 10, so it has been up for a while and our releases page tracked it as a restock.
Is the Black Parade hologram LP sold out? Where to buy
Neither is sold out. Both are open for preorder on the official store as of November 6. The hologram is store-exclusive, so the MCR store is the only place the product page describes. The Devils variant is described as a New Jersey Devils exclusive. We haven't verified whether any other retailer will carry it.
How rare is the Black Parade Devils vinyl?
Unknown. The store publishes no quantity for the Devils LP or the hologram LP. The Devils tie-in is real: NHL.com ran a "Devils Hometown Remix: The Black Parade" video this week. That tells you the team is promoting it, which suggests a wider audience than a typical store exclusive, not a tiny run.
What the Black Parade variants sell for on eBay
We tried to check eBay sold listings on November 6, 2026 and hit a bot check, so we have no fresh sold range for the hologram or Devils LPs. What we do have, all from our own team's earlier checks:
- Tour city variants (sold out, $27.98 retail): about $142 average across 10 sales (October 5).
- Signed Bloodline red 2LP ($39.98 retail, sold out): about $544 average across 10 sales (October 1). Signed copies are a different animal.
Those are early sold-out pressings, sold before more variants appeared. Don't assume a new variant that is still open for preorder follows them. The Hollywood Bowl and picture disc variants at $16.98 and the other pressings show how many versions are in circulation.
Why this matters for resale
- A large catalog title. The Black Parade is one of the best-known albums in the band's catalog, and the 20th anniversary has everyone's attention.
- Hologram is a one-off look. The laser-etched sides are different from the other pressings, which is the kind of detail collectors chase.
- The Devils tie-in adds a second audience. Hockey fans who don't normally buy vinyl are a new pool of buyers.
- Early sold-out variants did trade above retail. The city variants and signed 2LP are the proof.
Risks and the case against
- Too many variants. There are more than a dozen LPs, plus 2LPs, CDs and cassettes. When there's a "million variants" (our team's phrase), each one gets less scarce.
- No pressing numbers. You're guessing at supply.

- Store restocks. The hologram LP was restocked on the store once already. Another restock would cap the price.
Is the Black Parade hologram LP worth it?
It's worth buying if you love the album and want the hologram look at $36.98. It's not a safe flip. We have no eBay sold data for the hologram or Devils LP, the store has no stated quantity, and early sold-out variants are a different situation from open preorders. The Devils LP at $27.98 is the cheaper bet if you want the hockey tie-in.
Flip, hold or pass
This is analysis, not a promise.
- Flip: Only a small, one-copy test of the Devils LP at $27.98, if you're willing to wait and can sell it after December 11 for $40 or more. Check eBay sold listings first.
- Hold: If you're a fan. The hologram LP is the one that looks different from everything else in the set.
- Pass: On stacking copies of every variant. Most buyers should pass on buying several, given how many pressings exist.
