Naruto Card Game Launches June 2027: What to Flip

· 3 min read · By the Friends & Family team

Bandai just put a date on the first new Naruto trading card game in over a decade: June 2027, worldwide, all at once. The promo cards are already moving on eBay, months before a single pack exists.

Bandai announced at New York Comic Con on October 10 that the Naruto Card Game launches simultaneously worldwide in June 2027. The first wave is three starter decks and one booster set. Nothing has a price yet, but the early collectibles already have sold listings.

What Bandai confirmed

From Bandai's announcement and the official Naruto site:

  • Launch: June 2027, worldwide, same month in every region.
  • Starter decks: three pre-constructed decks, ST01 Naruto Uzumaki, ST02 Sasuke Uchiha and ST03 Gaara.
  • First booster set: reported as "Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!" in Bandai's English press release. The official Naruto site titles it "Here Comes Naruto Uzumaki!", so the final English name isn't settled. It covers characters from the original series and Shippuden.
  • Advance items: an Official Playmat – Naruto vs. Sasuke and a Premium Card Collection Vol. 00 – Chakra Set, sold only at advance trial events and select Bandai Card Games Fest 26-27 events.
  • Demo events: advance trial events at participating card shops begin in early 2027. Bandai has also reported a plan to give out demo decks in spring 2027.
  • How it plays: each player builds around a Leader card, with a 51-card deck, five Chakra cards and one Summon card.

Prices, print runs and the exact booster contents have not been announced. Bandai says more details are coming on its official channels.

Why resellers should care

This is Bandai's second English Naruto card game. The first ran from 2006 to 2013, and the new one follows the company's English launches of Gundam and Digimon cards. Naruto is one of the best-known anime brands in the world, so a global same-month launch is a real demand event, in the same lane as the One Piece Heroines Precious Box.

The pattern to watch is the one that plays out with most new TCGs: the event-only items carry the early premium, and sealed starter product gets its price once the print run is known.

What the promo cards sell for now

Bandai has been handing out a CP-001 Chakra Card at its tutorial sessions at events including Gen Con, a Yankees game and NYCC. Checking eBay sold listings on October 11, 2026:

  • NYCC version (no stamp): sold between roughly $71 and $105 across the listings we saw on October 10 and 11.
  • Yankees-stamp version: sold around $185 to $241.

That's a small sample from one search, and prices on brand-new promos swing fast as more copies reach the market. Getting a card also requires attending a session and meeting Bandai's registration conditions, so supply is tied to who shows up.

Flip, hold or pass?

This is analysis, not a promise.

  • Event promos and advance items: a flip, but a short one. Early sold prices are decent, yet the playmat is sold as a 2027-shipping item at events, and every extra event adds supply. Sell into the first wave of demand rather than holding for a year.
  • Starter decks and booster product at launch: a hold candidate only at retail price, and only once Bandai publishes MSRP and allocations. Don't preorder at a premium for a product with no confirmed price.
  • Anything now at a big markup, before launch: a pass. Vouchers, "rare" claims and preorder placeholders with no official price are guesses.

What to watch next

Bandai plans more details in December 2026 and in-store tutorials from January 2027. Expect pricing, case sizes and retailer listings to arrive then.
