Selfish Machines has been a steady seller for the team, and every limited color we can find on eBay sells above its retail price.
Short version: a 750-copy pressing at about $35 is a good setup, but you are paying to hold it for months, so this is a keep-or-hold buy, not a quick flip.
How much is the Selfish Machines Drunken Pastels vinyl?
- Park Ave CDs "Drunken Pastels" LP: $34.98 on the official Park Ave product page, listed September 22, 2026. The page says limited pressing of 750 and one copy per customer, with duplicate orders cancelled and refunded.
- Newbury Comics muted red marble: our team's release notes list $41.99 and a pressing of 1,000, with the same February 26, 2027 date. We could not pull up a live Newbury page to confirm it, so treat that as reported.
- Equal Vision marble variant (black, sage green, white, yellow): it was a 72-hour pre-order that our team flagged on August 26, and the page no longer loads. Price unconfirmed.
Shipping and tax are extra. The ship date on the Park Ave page isn't a promise, so expect it to move.
How rare is it?
750 copies, per Park Ave's own product page. That is smaller than the 1,000-copy Equal Vision colors and the same size as the magenta/purple swirl pressing that has been selling well above retail. Selfish Machines is also a 2010 album with a new wave of fans, so demand has been steady all year.
What Selfish Machines vinyl sells for on eBay
We checked eBay sold listings for "pierce the veil selfish machines vinyl" on November 1, 2026. There are no sales of the Drunken Pastels pressing yet because it hasn't shipped. The other pressings set the range:
- Regular and import copies: $31 to $42 new (April to October 2026), $65 for a UK import with duties included.
- Starburst transparent (Urban Outfitters, /500): $45 to $55 (September).
- /1000 colors (rainbow splatter, dark green with white splatter, green vanilla splatter): mostly $65 to $75, with a few at $88 to $100 (September 18 to October 26).
- /250 colors (clear and neon orange, swamp green): $65 to $75.
- Light gray /300: $70 (October 9).
- Gold and bone with black splatter /500: $148 (September 16).
- Magenta/purple swirl /750: $129.99 (September 24), $149.99 (October 22) and $200 (October 6). This is the closest comparison to Drunken Pastels: same pressing size, a store exclusive color.
The pattern: the market pays about double retail even for /1000 colors, and about four to five times retail for the /750 swirl.
Flip, hold or pass? Our take
Rough math on one copy if it sells like the middle of the /750 swirl, about $130 (a hopeful case, not a guarantee):
- Buy at $34.98 plus tax and shipping (about $5 to $8, our estimate)
- Sell at $130
- eBay's 13.6% fee plus $0.40: about $18
- Shipping an LP in the US: about $5 to $6 (our estimate)
- Profit: about $65 to $70
If it only sells like a /1000 color at about $70, profit drops to about $20 after fees and shipping.
Flip: no, not on a February ship date. Your money is tied up for months.
Hold: yes, one copy. At $34.98 and a 750 pressing, the downside is small and the comps are strong. Our team's earlier note on this album was to put it away for a while.
Our call: buy one and hold. Do not count on the $200 outlier. This is a read of the listings, not a documented team call.
What could go wrong
- Long wait: shipping is around February 2027 and dates slip.
- Too many colors: Selfish Machines has had many variants. Another new color could split demand.
- Thin comps for this exact color: the numbers above are for other pressings.
- Order cancellation: Park Ave cancels duplicate orders, so don't try to buy more than one.
