Pokémon Deck Crafter's Collection: $9.99, Worth Flipping?

· 4 min read · By the Friends & Family team

A $9.99 Pokémon box with a foil Meowth ex and 39 tournament-ready Trainer cards hit shelves October 23. Sealed copies are already selling on eBay for about $11 to $13, so here is what is left after fees.

The Pokémon TCG: Deck Crafter's Collection launched on October 23, 2026. It is a small, cheap box aimed at players, but sealed copies were already changing hands on eBay within a day, so it is worth a look before you buy a stack.

The short version: the reported retail price is $9.99, and sealed singles sold for roughly $11 to $13 on eBay between October 18 and 24. After fees and shipping, that is thin.

What's in the Deck Crafter's Collection

According to Pokemon.com's product page, each box has:

  • 1 foil card featuring Meowth ex
  • 39 tournament-ready Trainer cards (Supporter, Item and Pokémon Tool cards)
  • 1 Deck Crafter's Guide
  • 9 labeled dividers
  • 1 Pokémon TCG booster pack
  • 1 code card for Pokémon TCG Live

The box says it includes 40 useful cards, which is the foil Meowth ex plus the 39 Trainer cards. Pokemon.com doesn't list a price. The $9.99 figure comes from trade-press coverage (ICv2 and PokeBeach, both reporting it ahead of launch), so treat it as reported rather than something we confirmed on a store shelf.

It is a trimmed-down cousin of the bigger Trainer's Toolkit-style boxes. The pitch is simple: staple Trainer cards for building a deck, not chase pulls.

What it sold for on eBay

I searched eBay's sold listings for "pokemon deck crafter's collection" and read the results on October 25, 2026. This is a snapshot of one search, not an average:

Sold Item Price
Oct 18 Single, presale listing $12.00
Oct 20 Single, presale listing $12.49
Oct 22 Single $12.99
Oct 23 Singles (several) $11.60, $12.22, $12.28, $12.49, $12.49
Oct 23 Singles, low outliers $5.69 and $8.00
Oct 24 Singles $11.49, $12.99, $12.99
Oct 24 12-box case $106.95 (about $8.91 per box)

Most singles landed between $11.50 and $13. A 12-box case sold for $129.95 back on September 17 (about $10.83 per box), and the October 24 case sale at $106.95 suggests case pricing has already come down. That is one sale each, so I wouldn't read it as a trend. One outlier single sold at $15.99 on October 21.

The fee math

eBay's Collectible Card Games rate is 13.25% of the total sale amount, plus $0.30 per order on orders of $10 or less and $0.40 on orders over $10, per eBay's selling fees page. Using the item price alone as a floor:

Sale price eBay fees You keep (before shipping and cost)
$11.49 about $1.92 about $9.57
$12.49 about $2.06 about $10.43
$12.99 about $2.12 about $10.87

If you bought at $9.99 and sold at $12.49, you would keep about $0.44 before you pay for shipping, packaging and your time. A padded mailer and postage on a box this size can easily cost more than that. In other words, a single box at retail price is not a flip.

The case route looks different on paper. A $106.95 case sale leaves about $92.38 after fees (13.25% plus $0.40), but I don't know anyone's case cost, and I haven't verified that cases can be bought at a discount, so I'm not going to pencil in a profit.

Where to buy it, and the return question

Pokemon.com doesn't list retailers, and I didn't find a store page that confirmed stock for this product. Online shop and marketplace listings I found ran from about $9.94 to $12, and some were still labelled pre-order. Check the price on the page in front of you, and don't pay a markup for a $9.99 box.

I couldn't confirm a cancellation or return policy specific to this product from an official retailer page, so I'm not going to quote one. Before you order anything for resale, read the store's return rules for opened and sealed trading cards. Sealed product that you can send back is a very different bet from a final-sale box.

Flip, hold or pass

This is analysis, not a promise.

  • Flip: Not at $9.99 per box and a $12 market. The margin disappears into shipping.
  • Hold: Not a classic hold. It is a mass-market player product with a foil promo, and nothing in the contents is a Special Illustration Rare or similar chase card. A year-long hold would be a guess.
  • Pass, mostly: If you want it to play, buy one at retail. If you are reselling, the realistic play is a case bought well under about $9 per box, and only if the retailer takes returns.

Where it could surprise: if the Meowth ex ends up in a popular competitive deck, or if shelves go empty, single-box prices can drift up. Neither has happened yet that I can see.
