Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Delta Reign is the next main Pokémon set. Mega Rayquaza ex is the star, and it comes out on November 6, 2026. Retailers have started listing the sealed products, and people are already selling Elite Trainer Boxes they don't have yet. Here's the retail pricing, what the early eBay sales show, and how we'd think about it as a reseller.
Delta Reign release date and what's in the set
According to The Pokémon Company International:
- Release date: November 6, 2026
- Prereleases: start October 24, 2026 at participating Play! Pokémon stores
- Cards: more than 135, including more than 20 Trainer cards and more than 35 cards with special illustrations
- Featured Mega Pokémon ex: Mega Rayquaza ex, Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex and Mega Golisopod ex
PokéBeach reports that the English set is built mostly from Japan's Storm Emeralda set, released July 31, plus cards from Japan's MEGA Starter Decks. That matters because Japanese prices give an early look at which cards collectors want. A Japanese price chart posted by the unofficial tracker PokeNotify on September 29 had Mega Rayquaza ex as the top Storm Emeralda card at about $564. That's a tracker's number, not a sale we checked, and English prices usually follow their own path.
The Build & Battle Box has four Delta Reign booster packs, a ready-to-play 40-card deck and one of four foil promos (Masquerain, Magmortar, Enamorus or Kommo-o). Pokémon says it goes on sale at select Play! Pokémon stores starting October 24 and more widely after November 6.
Delta Reign retail prices
Pokémon's official pages don't list prices, so here's what two big retailers showed when we checked on the morning of September 30. Every product below said "Coming Soon" and couldn't be ordered yet.
| Product | Best Buy | GameStop |
|---|---|---|
| Elite Trainer Box (9 packs) | $49.99 | $89.99 |
| Booster Box (36 packs) | $160.99 | $299.99 |
| Booster Bundle | $26.94 | $49.99 |
| 3-pack booster blister | $13.99 | $24.99 |
| Build & Battle Box | not listed | $39.99 (Nov 20) |
Best Buy's prices match what the last few main sets cost at big-box retail. GameStop's are much higher across the board, so compare prices before you preorder there. Best Buy lists the standard ETB with nine booster packs, a full-art foil Kyogre promo, 65 sleeves, 40 Energy cards, dice, a coin, a player's guide and a Pokémon TCG Live code card.
A Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box is also expected. It already shows up in TCGplayer's product catalog, and outside guides report a $59.99 price with 11 booster packs. When we checked, Pokémon Center hadn't listed any Delta Reign products publicly, so treat those details as unconfirmed until they're on the official site.
What the early eBay presales show
We checked eBay sold listings for "Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box" on September 30. These are real completed sales, but they're presales. The sellers don't have the boxes yet, and nothing ships until around November 6.
- Single standard ETBs sold for about $110 to $150 between September 28 and 30 ($109.95, $113.99, $119.39, $129.99, $147.43, $149.99).
- 3-ETB auction lots ended between about $215 and $312, or roughly $72 to $104 per box, with 17 to 48 bids each.
- A few 10-ETB case presales sold for $800 to $1,175.
Presale prices are usually the highest a set ever sees. Buyers pay extra to be first and take the risk that the seller never gets stock. For a better sense of where Delta Reign could end up, look at the last main set.
The Pitch Black comparison
Mega Evolution—Pitch Black launched on July 17, 2026, according to Pokémon's product gallery. About ten weeks later, on September 29 and 30, standard Pitch Black ETBs were selling on eBay for about $52 to $93, and most sales were $55 to $73. That's still above a $49.99 retail price, but it's nowhere near Delta Reign's presale prices.
That's the pattern to plan around: a main-set ETB bought at retail has usually been worth a bit more than it cost, not double.
Slumpd's read
Slumpd runs our Pokémon information. In our Discord this week, he said he thinks Delta Reign is a better set than the last few main sets. He also warned that prices on main-set product can drop quickly after release, like they did for Pitch Black. He noted the general opinion that the Mega Rayquaza card is a bit underwhelming, and said most of his attention is still on the 30th Celebration products. That's his opinion, not a promise about prices.
Can you cancel or return a Delta Reign preorder?
Check this before you buy, because the rules differ by store:
- Pokémon Center: Its return policy lists "Pokémon trading cards and products containing Pokémon trading cards" as final sale, so you can't return them. Its preorder FAQ says you can cancel a preorder only before it's processed. Once it's processed and your payment is authorized again, you can't cancel. Pokémon Center doesn't charge you until the item ships.
- Best Buy: The standard return window is 15 days for most products, or 60 days for My Best Buy Plus and Total members. We didn't find a trading-card exclusion on Best Buy's policy page, but check the return details on your order.
Since Pokémon Center orders are final sale, the only way out is to cancel before the order is processed. Don't count on returning it.
The fee math
eBay's final value fee for Toys & Hobbies > Collectible Card Games is 13.25% of the total sale (up to $7,500), plus $0.40 per order over $10. eBay counts shipping and sales tax in that total.
- Sell a standard ETB for $70 with free shipping, and you pay about $9.68 in fees, a little more once tax is included. After a typical $8 to $10 shipping label, you net about $50 to $52 on a box that cost $49.99 plus tax. That's about break-even.
- If Delta Reign held Pitch Black's best recent sales, around $90, you'd net about $68 to $70 before tax. That's a small profit, not a big one.
Our take: hold at retail, pass on presales
- Flip: Only at retail, and only if you already have a buyer at presale prices. Selling a box you haven't received is risky, and $110+ is unlikely to hold once the set is actually on shelves.
- Hold: An ETB or booster box at Best Buy prices is a reasonable long-term hold if you store it sealed. So far, Pitch Black has held a small premium over retail.
- Pass: Paying GameStop's $89.99 for an ETB, or buying presales on eBay. At those prices, you need the set to beat recent main sets by a lot just to break even.
This is analysis, not a prediction. Pokémon prices change fast around release week.
