Star Trek Commander Decklists: Reprint Values & Price ($74.99)

· 5 min read · By the Friends & Family team

Wizards published all four Star Trek Commander decklists on Oct 29. We added up the reprints: the Landing Party deck carries about $130 of older cards against a $74.99 price. Here is where the value sits and why it will not stay put.

The four Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek Commander decks cost $74.99 each, or $159.99 for the surge-foil Collector's Edition, and release Nov 13, 2026. Wizards has now published every decklist, so we can finally answer the question buyers keep typing: which deck has the most reprint value? On Nov 4 prices, Landing Party wins at roughly $130 of reprints, then We Are the Borg (~$99), Klingon Fury (~$79) and Federation Fleet (~$64).

Those are today's single-card prices, before these decks put thousands of extra copies into the market. Treat them as a ceiling, not a promise. Our earlier Star Trek Commander deck announcement said the lists were unconfirmed; this article replaces that gap.

What did Wizards confirm in the decklists?

Per Wizards' decklist page (Oct 29, 2026), each deck holds a 100-card list with a traditional foil borderless commander, 99 non-foil cards including 32 new-to-Magic cards, 10 non-foil double-sided tokens, a reference card and a deck box. The Collector's Edition has the same list with every card in surge foil, and its tokens are surge foil on one side.

Deck Commander Colors
Federation Fleet Jean-Luc Picard, Luminary Blue-Red-White
Landing Party Commander Spock Green-White-Blue
Klingon Fury Worf, Defiant Commander Red-White-Black
We Are the Borg The Borg Queen White-Blue-Black

Star Trek Commander reprint values by deck

We took every nonbasic card on Wizards' lists, kept the ones that already exist in older Magic sets, and priced each at its cheapest older non-foil printing using Scryfall's card data (which tracks TCGplayer market prices), checked Nov 4, 2026. Basic lands and the Star Trek-only cards are left out, because new cards have no stable price until the set is open. Totals are our own arithmetic, so a few dollars of drift either way is normal.

Deck Older cards priced Reprint total Top three
Landing Party 42 ~$129.50 Exploration $29.89, Sea of Clouds $19.59, Guardian Project $12.29
We Are the Borg 43 ~$99.39 Morphic Pool $23.52, Unwinding Clock $19.38, The Immortal Sun $12.29
Klingon Fury 40 ~$79.27 Vault of Champions $15.13, World at War $11.05, Sword of Light and Shadow $10.14
Federation Fleet 41 ~$64.00 Training Center $17.11, Alhammarret's Archive $10.43, Howling Mine $4.81

Two things stand out. First, Landing Party is the only deck whose reprints alone exceed the $74.99 MSRP, and about a quarter of that total is one card, Exploration. Second, the value in every deck is concentrated in a handful of cards. Most of the 40-plus reprints per deck are under $3.

Staples such as Sol Ring ($1.27 at its cheapest printing) and Command Tower are in several decks, so they add little. Remember that a "cheapest printing" price is what a new copy from these decks will compete with.

How much is a Star Trek Commander deck?

  • Commander Deck: $74.99 MSRP, from Wizards' collecting guide.
  • Collector's Edition Commander Deck: $159.99 MSRP, same cards in surge foil, a $85 step up.

Wizards says the decks are available to preorder from local game stores, TCGplayer, Amazon and other Magic retailers. Check your retailer's own cancellation and return terms before you preorder, because we have not verified them for each store.

Are the decks delayed?

Possibly. On Oct 16 Wizards said that for North America, Commander decks are delayed and may arrive after Nov 13. We track the regional detail in our delay breakdown. Late stock tends to keep early prices higher, but we cannot say by how much.

eBay sold prices and rarity

There is nothing to check yet: the decks are not released, so no sealed copies have sold and we are not quoting an eBay range. Nothing here is "rare" either. Wizards gives no print run, and these are standard preconstructed products, not limited drops. Re-check sold listings (not asking prices) a week after release.

What the numbers mean for resellers and holders

Reprint totals matter because a precon's value is the sum of its singles, and singles move when supply lands. A card that sells for $29.89 today is priced for scarcity; once the deck ships, that copy competes with every new box. We are not predicting a drop size, only that the figures above describe the old market.

If you plan to sell, the fee math is straightforward. eBay's published rate for Toys & Hobbies > Collectible Card Games is 13.25% up to $7,500 plus $0.40 per order over $10. A deck that sells for $100 nets about $86.35 before shipping, so an MSRP-priced $74.99 deck needs a clear premium to leave profit.

Are the Star Trek Commander decks worth it?

Landing Party is the only deck where today's reprint prices alone ($129.50) beat the $74.99 MSRP; the other three land at about $64 to $99. Those are pre-release single prices, and eBay's 13.25% fee plus $0.40 per order trims a resale by roughly $13.65 on a $100 sale. If you want to play the deck, MSRP is fair. If you want a profit, wait for sold listings after Nov 13.

Flip, hold or pass?

This is analysis, not a promise.

  • Flip sealed decks: pass unless you got them at MSRP and the first-week price is well above $100. Fees and shipping eat most of a small premium.
  • Buy to open and sell singles: Landing Party is the only deck where reprints alone beat MSRP, but expect those singles to soften after release.
  • Collector's Edition: at $159.99 you are paying for foil, not extra cards. Hold only if you want foil copies of the new cards.
  • Wait: the safest read is to watch sold listings the week after Nov 13.
