Stardew Valley Secret Lair Price: Foil $49.99 & eBay Value

· 6 min read · By the Friends & Family team

The Stardew Valley Secret Lair launched July 27 at $39.99 non-foil and $49.99 foil, and the store flagged the foil as low stock this weekend. Here is what it sells for on eBay now, what the cards are worth and whether it is a flip.

The Secret Lair x Stardew Valley: Welcome to Stardew Valley drop costs $39.99 non-foil and $49.99 foil at the official Secret Lair store, and on November 1, 2026 the store's front page still listed the foil edition with a "low stock" tag. Wizards has not published a print run or quantity, so there is no official "how rare is it" number. What we can say is that it is a mythic new-to-Magic land with art by Stardew Valley creator ConcernedApe, and that sealed copies have been selling on eBay for about $32 to $63 since early October.

The drop launched July 27, 2026 as part of the Superdrop of the Moonlight Jellies, three Stardew Valley drops that went on sale together. This post covers the lead drop, the one people search for.

How much is the Stardew Valley Secret Lair?

Retail prices from Wizards' Superdrop announcement, with Nintendo Life reporting the same figures:

Product Non-foil Foil
Welcome to Stardew Valley (8 cards) $39.99 $49.99
Life in Pelican Town (5 cards) $29.99 $39.99
A Flicker in the Deep (7 cards) $29.99 $39.99

Launch bundles were Traveling Cart (non-foil, all three) at $99.97, Prismatic Shard (foil, all three) at $129.97 and Grandpa Would Be Proud Everything Bundle (both finishes) at $219.99. Select bundles also came with a foil Puca's Mischief promo as "Lucky Purple Memento" while supplies lasted. Free shipping applies to US orders over $99 before tax.

Non-foil copies are also coming to local game stores: the WPN product page lists a North America release of August 21, 2026 and September 18, 2026 for Europe, the UK and Asia Pacific. Game store copies are non-foil only.

What is in Welcome to Stardew Valley?

Per Wizards, the drop is 8 cards: Stardew Valley, Wedding Ring as "Mermaid's Pendant", Dawn's Truce as "Pierre's Truce", Swords to Plowshares, Rites of Flourishing, Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis as "The Welcoming Committee", Sol Ring and a Food token.

Stardew Valley is the chase card. It is a land that makes colorless mana, can turn a tapped creature into a Food token, and can draw you a card while handing a permanent to another player. It is legal in Commander, Legacy and Vintage. Scryfall lists it as mythic, collector number 2801.

What are the cards worth?

TCGplayer market prices as shown by Scryfall, checked November 1, 2026:

Card Non-foil Foil
Stardew Valley $9.52 $12.34

On eBay, one high-volume single seller sold the other cards in the drop in October at roughly: Sol Ring $5.40 to $6.00, Mermaid's Pendant $4.50 to $5.75, Pierre's Truce $6.00, Swords to Plowshares $4.21 to $6.30, Rites of Flourishing $1.58 to $2.86 and the Food token $1.80 to $2.86. We did not see The Welcoming Committee sell in that window.

Added up, the singles come to roughly $30 to $35 before The Welcoming Committee, below the $39.99 non-foil retail price. That is the gap between what the sealed product sells for and what the cards are worth separately, and it is the main reason this is a collector buy more than a flip.

Stardew Valley Secret Lair eBay sold prices

We checked eBay sold listings on November 1, 2026. Sealed US listings only; overseas sales are excluded because of shipping and import fees.

  • Non-foil, sealed: about $31.95 to $46.47, most between $34.71 and $40.00. Recent sales: $34.71 plus $6.99 shipping (Oct 29), $40.00 (Oct 28), $39.99 (Oct 24), $35.00 plus $6.99 (Oct 20). One $64.50 sale on September 30 is an outlier.
  • Foil, sealed: about $30.00 to $62.95. Recent sales: $62.95 (Oct 28), $36.00 (Oct 27), $39.99 (Oct 25), $30.00 (Oct 22), $39.99 (Oct 20). In early October it ran higher: $59.95, $60.00 and $53.99, with $49.99 on October 10.
  • Single cards: Stardew Valley foil $14.00 (Oct 21), another copy $10.98 (Oct 13).

Foil sealed copies have drifted down from about $60 in early October to the high $30s and low $40s, with a $62.95 sale as the exception. Sealed foil now trades at or below the $49.99 retail price more often than above it. Sealed non-foil is trading roughly at retail.

Fee math

eBay's Collectible Card Games rate is 13.25% of the total sale amount up to $7,500, plus a per-order fee, per eBay's selling fees page, checked November 1. We use $0.40 per order here.

Item Cost Sells at eBay fees Left before shipping
Foil $49.99 $60 $8.35 $1.66
Foil $49.99 $40 $5.70 -$15.69
Non-foil $39.99 $40 $5.70 -$5.69

At retail you need a foil sale near $58 to $62 just to break even after fees and postage, and recent sales mostly landed below that. The only way these have worked as flips is buying below retail, for example from a game store, or having bought at launch and caught the early October spike.

Return and shipping policy

There are no returns on a Secret Lair order from Wizards. Per the refund and cancellations policy, once a customer has been debited the order is final, and the store does not accept refund requests or returns. Damaged or defective items go through a support form. The shipping FAQ says an order can take up to 3 weeks to ship after the estimated release date. If you buy sealed from an eBay seller instead, the return terms are theirs.

Flip, hold or pass?

This is analysis, not a promise or financial advice.

  • Flip: Pass at retail. Fees and shipping eat the whole margin at current prices, and sealed foil has been trending lower since early October. Only a copy bought under about $40 foil gives you room to work.
  • Hold: Reasonable for a collector or Commander player who wants Stardew Valley and a foil Sol Ring in one purchase, with the store flagging low stock on the foil. A low-stock tag is not a sellout and it is not a price prediction.
  • Pass: On paying above retail for a sealed copy. At $50 to $60 you are paying a premium for a drop whose cards are worth roughly $30 to $35 as singles, and eBay's recent sales do not show buyers sustaining it.
