2026-27 Topps Flagship Bundesliga: Worth $94.99?

· 5 min read · By the Friends & Family team

Topps' first paper Bundesliga set went on pre-order at 11 a.m. ET for $94.99 a Jumbo Box, and the Jumbo was already sold out on topps.com minutes later. Presale boxes are now listed on eBay at about double retail. Here's whether that's a flip.

2026-27 Topps Flagship Bundesliga went up for pre-order on topps.com on October 13 at 11 a.m. ET, and the Hobby Jumbo Box and the sealed Jumbo case were both showing sold out a few minutes later. Short version: at $94.99, with 3 autograph or relic cards per box, there looks to be room above retail. But with no odds or checklist details, our sports card lead ML says not to go overboard.

What's in a 2026-27 Topps Flagship Bundesliga Jumbo Box

Topps is selling two formats on the official page:

  • Hobby Jumbo Box: $94.99. 8 packs per box, 25 cards per pack, and 3 autograph or relic cards per box, plus 1 exclusive Black Edge pack of 3 cards. Limit 10 per cart. The Jumbo and the sealed Jumbo case were sold out at last check.
  • Value Box: $24.99. 6 packs per box, 10 cards per pack, with 4 exclusive Green Voltage unnumbered parallels and 2 exclusive Vision inserts.

The release date is November 12, 2026. Pre-orders are scheduled to start shipping ahead of that date, but Topps says it can't guarantee delivery by then. The release page links a checklist download but no odds sheet, so how the 3 hits per box break down is still unknown. Topps calls this the "Flagship Edition", its paper (non-chrome) line.

Why collectors are paying attention

Until now Topps' Bundesliga cards have mostly been chrome. Adding a paper Flagship set is new, and ML points to what happened with last year's chrome release:

  • It had only about 2,500 hobby cases printed, and every auto in the product was numbered /99 or less. Those figures are ML's, and we couldn't confirm them from Topps.
  • The rookie class got attention, and Lennart Karl had a lot of hype last year. ML doesn't expect any single player to match that this year, but he points to a deep group of young players, including American Mathis Albert.
  • 2025-26 Topps Chrome Bundesliga has been selling on eBay (more below), so there's an existing buyer base.

The caveat is that a paper product for a league that's much smaller in the US than the Premier League is a different thing. ML notes that adding paper suggests Topps sees room to print more, but he doesn't expect it to be printed like the Premier League, which has far more product out there.

Retail vs. eBay: what it's selling for

Retail is $94.99 for the Hobby Jumbo Box and $24.99 for the Value Box on topps.com. Here's what we found on eBay on October 13:

  • Sold listings: none yet for the 2026-27 Bundesliga Jumbo. Pre-orders opened a few minutes before we checked, so there's no sold data. That means we can't give you a real typical price today.
  • Active presale listings (asking prices, not sales): the Jumbo is listed from about $180 to $200, roughly 1.9x to 2.1x retail. A few are shipping from overseas with import fees and extra shipping on top. A sealed 12-box case is listed at $2,299.99. These are what sellers hope to get, so treat them as a ceiling and not a price.
  • Comparable, 2025-26 Topps Chrome Bundesliga Hobby Box: it's a chrome product, so it's not a like-for-like comparison. Around its March 2026 release it sold on eBay for roughly $180 to $211 (7 sales, March 22 to 26, shipping extra on some). The one sale we found since, on September 24, was $365 (Best Offer). ML puts the going rate at around $300 right now.

Do the math before you buy. eBay's trading card fee is 13.25% plus $0.40 per order, charged on the item price plus shipping and sales tax. If a Jumbo sold at the $199.99 asking price with free shipping, fees would be about $26.90, leaving roughly $173. Compared with $94.99 plus tax, that's good, but shipping costs come on top, and an asking price isn't a sale. A drop to the $150s would still clear retail, but you'd be netting a lot less.

Flip, hold or pass? Our take

ML runs sports cards in our Discord, and his read is that $95 a box looks like it has value relative to the market, with some risk. In his words, it's a reason to be interested, not a reason to load up. Here's how we'd think about it:

  1. Sealed paper at $95 doesn't have far to fall. Even if presale prices cool, there's a lot of room between $95 and the roughly $180 to $200 people are asking.
  2. The unknowns are big. There are no odds posted. If Topps prints a lot more than last year's chrome run, that gap closes quickly. ML wouldn't go overboard without the odds.
  3. Presale prices move. The first asking prices are usually the highest, and they tend to settle once more boxes are in buyers' hands.

If you got one at $94.99, holding until the odds and checklist are public is reasonable. If you're thinking about buying on eBay at $180 or more, that's a lot of the upside already priced in, so we'd pass. The Value Box is for ripping. At $24.99 it's not a flip.

What to watch

  • The odds. That tells you how the 3 hits per box break down and how scarce they are.
  • Real sold prices. Once presales start closing on eBay, you'll see what buyers pay and whether it's near the $180 to $200 asking range.
  • A restock. If Topps puts more Jumbos or cases up, the price could soften.
  • Chrome Bundesliga prices. If those hold around $300, it keeps interest in the line high.
