2026 Topps Royalty Tennis opened for pre-order on October 13, 2026 through an EQL draw, with a release date of November 13. The hobby box was $579.99. On eBay, presale boxes have been selling for about $900. That's a large gap, but there are two things to know: it's a pre-order flip, and the print run is bigger than in 2024.
What's in a 2026 Topps Royalty Tennis hobby box

What collectors are chasing, per Topps:
- Relics are the focus: Racket Knob Relics, Racket Knob Autograph Relics, Triumph Relic Autographs and Superior Relic Signatures.
- Autographs from top players across generations, including Dual and Triple Autographs.
ML expects Rafael Nadal autographs to help demand, because this is the first year Nadal appears in the product. That's his expectation, not something Topps has confirmed in its release notes.
Why collectors are paying attention
Royalty Tennis hasn't been released since 2024. According to ML, the 2024 hobby box retailed for about $380, and it's now around $1,000 on the secondary market. The 2026 price jumped to $579.99, which he said should push the initial market higher.
Retail vs. eBay: what it's selling for
Retail is $579.99 for the hobby box. Here are eBay sold listings as of October 18, 2026, for exact 2026 Royalty Tennis hobby boxes (single boxes only):
- 2026 hobby box: 12 sales between $799.62 and $950, with a middle price of about $900. Nine of the 13 sold on October 13, the day pre-orders opened. Eleven were Best Offers and eight were presales. I dropped one $327.50 sale that looks like a mismatched listing.
- Comparable, 2024 Royalty Tennis hobby box: 7 sales between $333.90 and $1,239.95, with a middle price of about $849. The range is wide and the sample is small, and two sales were international.
The fee math. eBay charges 13.25% plus $0.40 on a trading card sale, on the price plus shipping and sales tax. A box that sells for $900 with free shipping leaves roughly $780. Against $579.99 plus tax, that's about $200 per box before shipping and tax.
Flip, hold or pass? Our take
ML runs sports cards in our Discord. His pre-order call was to enter for everything: he expected boxes to sell for around $800 and wasn't worried about them falling below retail. Presales have come in higher, at about $900.
Then he added a warning. After the odds came out, ML said the print run is about 12,000 boxes, compared with about 7,500 in 2024, which is roughly 3,000 cases versus 1,875. He said it raised an eyebrow, that he doubted a $1,000 release price now, and that he'd be cautious at this price. He wouldn't be upset if you passed, and he still thought even the worst case should let you get out. Those are his calculations from the odds sheet.
So the honest caveats:
- Presale, not in-hand. Boxes don't ship until about November 13.
- More supply than 2024. A larger print run means more sellers at release.
- Margins before shipping are around $200. That's good, but it's less than the headline gap.
If you won a box at $579.99, there's a real profit at today's prices. If you're buying a presale box at $900, you're betting that a bigger print run won't drag the price down.
What to watch
- Release-day pricing around November 13. This is the real test of the larger print run.
- Nadal autographs and the top relic cards. They'll drive the value of the box.
- Presale prices. If they slide toward $800, the market is cooling.
