Festival in a Box Atlanta Resale: eBay Sold Prices

· 4 min read · By the Friends & Family team

Festival in a Box: Atlanta 2026 went on sale yesterday at $249.99. By this morning, eBay presales were selling for around $400. Here is what the sold listings show, what you keep after fees, and where the risk sits.

Festival in a Box: Atlanta 2026 went on sale on October 19 at the Secret Lair store for $249.99, limit two per customer. Within a day, buyers on eBay were paying roughly $385 to $420 for unshipped orders. That is a real spread over retail, but it is a presale price, and the math changes once fees, shipping and delivery risk are counted.

We covered the contents and the launch plan in our earlier Festival in a Box breakdown. This is the follow-up: what the market did on day one.

What is in the box (quick recap)

Per Wizards of the Coast, each bundle has:

  • 1 Mystery Booster Commander Edition box (24 boosters, 20 cards each)
  • 1 Secret Gallery: Atlanta Foil Edition Secret Lair drop: Parallax Tide, Regrowth, Viridian Revel and Assassin's Trophy
  • 4 promo cards: Dance of the Dead, Tana, the Bloodsower and Tymna the Weaver (foil, full art, textless) plus the Auspicious Aquarium playtest card

What sold on eBay

On October 20 we checked eBay's sold listings for "festival in a box atlanta 2026". The search showed 248 results. Almost every sealed-bundle sale was labeled presale or "confirmed order", meaning the seller had bought from Secret Lair and had not received the product yet.

  • Most US sales: about $385 to $420 for the full bundle, with many right around $399.99.
  • Low and high US sales: roughly $375 at the low end and $499 at the high end.
  • Outside the US: sales from Australia and the UK ran about $462 to $565, but buyers there also pay shipping and import fees.
  • Singles pulled from the bundle (also presale): Tymna the Weaver foil about $81 to $88, Dance of the Dead foil about $32 to $34, Regrowth and Assassin's Trophy about $9.69 each. A sealed Secret Gallery: Atlanta Foil Edition sold at $58.99.

Treat these as day-one snapshots. Prices on the first day of a hyped product are often the highest they will see. Sale prices marked "best offer accepted" may not match the listed price.

Fee math at $400

eBay lists Toys & Hobbies > Collectible Card Games at 13.25% plus a $0.40 per-order fee for orders over $10 (eBay's selling fees page, checked today). On a $400 sale that is $53.40.

$350 $385 $400
Cost (before tax) $249.99 $249.99 $249.99
eBay fee $46.78 $51.41 $53.40
Left after cost and fee $53.23 $83.60 $96.61

That is before sales tax on your Secret Lair order, shipping supplies and the postage you pay (or the shipping you collect, which eBay's fee also applies to). The break-even sale price is about $289, before those costs.

Where the risk is

You cannot return it to Wizards. Secret Lair's policy says once a customer has been debited, the order is final and they do not accept refund requests or returns. It also says preorders are debited shortly before they are ready to ship. It does not describe a cancellation window, so do not assume you can cancel and recover your money.

Shipping is not instant. Secret Lair's support page says an order can take up to 3 weeks to ship after the estimated release date in your confirmation email. We could not confirm a ship date for this bundle from official pages. If you sell a presale, you owe the buyer a box you do not yet hold, and a delay lands on your seller metrics.

The market may not hold. For comparison, Draftsim reported in May that last spring's Las Vegas Festival in a Box sold out each day it was offered, first listed above $400 on TCGplayer, and was around $300 by May 5. That is one precedent, not a forecast. Atlanta contains a different box and different cards.

Flip, hold or pass

This is analysis, not a promise.

  • Flip: If you already have a confirmed order, a presale at about $385 to $400 locks in a gain of roughly $80 to $95 per box before tax and shipping. The trade-off is that you carry the delivery risk.
  • Hold: If you want the Mystery Booster Commander Edition box for Commander Draft nights, or the foil Tymna and Secret Gallery cards, holding sealed is reasonable. Single prices for the promos may settle once boxes ship.
  • Pass: If you do not have an order, buying a presale at $400 leaves very little room. A $289 break-even plus shipping against a day-one price that history says can fade is a thin edge.

We track Secret Lair drops as they are announced in our Magic: The Gathering group, and all our posts are in the Magic category. If you are watching other Secret Lair products, see our look at the Marvel Countdown Kit. Prices can fall as easily as they rise, and none of this is financial advice.
