Prince St. Pizza, the New York slice shop, teamed up with Xbox for the launch of Gears of War: E-Day. The headline item was a $60 pizza cutter built like the game's Prototype Lancer. The first run sold out within hours, and presales on eBay have mostly sold for $275 to $400. Now the store has opened "The Final Drop." Short version: at $60 there's plenty of room even if prices cool off after this restock. Just know it's an 8-week pre-order with no refunds before you buy.
What the Gears of War Lancer pizza cutter is
- Price: $60 (before tax and shipping) on shop.princestreetpizza.com
- The frame: shaped like the Prototype Lancer from Gears of War: E-Day, in durable molded ABS
- The blade: food-grade stainless steel
- Bonus: a code for a Gears of War: E-Day in-game pizza emblem
- The final drop: a pre-sale that can take up to 8 weeks to ship, with no refunds. The store calls it your "last opportunity," and says once they're gone, they're gone.
It's part of a bigger collab. Prince St. Pizza locations across the U.S. and in Toronto are serving a limited Emergence Pie through November 1. Gears of War: E-Day itself launches October 6 on Xbox Series X|S, PC and Game Pass, so Gears hype is about to peak.

How we called it
September 28: Dennis posted the first drop in our lowkey flips channel. It was $60, with no edition size listed beyond "limited," and his take was simple: he was grabbing one and, worst case, using it. It sold out within hours of the announcement.
October 1: Prince St. Pizza opened the final drop, and we posted it with the warning that matters: 8-week pre-order, no refunds.
It's not our first Gears call, either. In August we posted Xbox's $299.99 Prototype Lancer Replica, the full-size collector's piece. Gears of War is one of Microsoft's biggest franchises, and with a new game launching this month, Gears collectibles have been moving.
What it's selling for on eBay
From eBay sold listings, September 28 to October 1, all presales:
- $399.94, $379.69, $375, $319.99, $285 and $275
- One outlier on each end: $500 and an early $130 Best Offer
- Middle of the pack: around $350, almost 6x retail
One thing to know: the in-game emblem code alone sells for only $9 to $25. That's because every Emergence Pie and slice at Prince St. Pizza comes with the same emblem code. The money is in the cutter, not the DLC.
The math
eBay takes 13.6% plus $0.40 on a sale in most categories, charged on the sale price plus shipping and sales tax.
- If it sells for $350: roughly $51 in fees leaves about $299. That's around $240 profit on a $60 buy, before shipping and the store's tax.
- If the restock cools prices to $200: roughly $30 in fees leaves about $170, or around $110 profit.
Even the cautious case leaves you with nearly 3x what you paid.
Flip, hold or pass? Our take
It's worth a shot at $60. Size your buy carefully, though.
- Expect prices to soften. A restock adds supply, so don't bank on $375 holding. The early presale prices came from a sold-out product, and the final drop changes that.
- There's no safety net. No refunds means you can't send it back if the market drops. Only buy what you're happy to hold, or worst case, use on pizza night.
- The wait has an upside. Up to 8 weeks puts delivery around late November, right when Gears fans' holiday wish lists get bought.
- Selling before it ships ties you to the store's timeline. Many sellers wait until it's in hand rather than promise a ship date they don't control.
