Lowkey Flips Today: Monster High & Resident Evil (Oct 1)

· 7 min read · By the Friends & Family team

Five Monster High dolls from 2010 are back at $32.99 today, and early eBay asks already sit around double that. Plus the Resident Evil popcorn bucket our team called a rare exception to its no-bucket rule.

Two things are worth a look today. The Monster High Dawn of the Dance reproduction dolls went live overnight at Target and launch on Mattel Creations at 9:00 AM PT. And the Resident Evil Medical Courier popcorn bucket is back for preorder, with one theater shop already sold out. They come with very different return rules, so read those before you buy.

Monster High Dawn of the Dance Creeproductions

These are reproductions of the 2010 Dawn of the Dance dolls, in Mattel's "Boo-riginal Creeproduction" line. There are five characters, each sold separately: Draculaura, Lagoona Blue, Cleo De Nile, Frankie Stein and Clawdeen Wolf. The Mattel Creations page describes each one as a 10.5-inch doll with 11 points of articulation. It comes with the full dance outfit and accessories, a doll stand and a Certificate of Authenticity.

  • Retail: $32.99 at Target. The Mattel Creations page lists $33.00.
  • Our team's estimated resale: $60 to $100, based on Slumpd's look at eBay sold listings before the drop
  • When: October 1, 2026. Target went first, starting around 3:00 AM ET. Mattel Creations opens at 9:00 AM PT.
  • Where: Target, Amazon, Walmart and Mattel Creations
  • Limit: Slumpd saw a cart limit of 10 at Target last night and warned it could change. Target's product page doesn't list a limit. Mattel's page says "Purchase limits subject to change."
  • Membership: None at Target. On Mattel Creations, only Fang Club members can buy from October 1 at 9:00 AM PT through October 2 at 8:59 AM PT, while supplies last. Slumpd also pointed out that Mattel charges shipping, so it costs more there.

When we loaded Target's Draculaura page around 9:20 AM ET, it was out of stock in stores but still available to ship.

What eBay looks like this morning

We checked eBay US around 9:15 AM ET on October 1, filtered to new condition and sorted by newest. These are active listings (asking prices), not sales.

  • The search showed 51 results, and most were listed in the last few hours.
  • Most single-doll Buy It Now asks ran from about $60 to $100, plus up to $10 shipping. The lowest US ask we saw was $50 for a Clawdeen. A few in-hand Draculaura listings asked $66 to $68, and the highest single-doll ask was $125.
  • Several listings were presales from sellers who don't have the doll yet.
  • One seller listed all five dolls together for $400.

Asks line up with Slumpd's $60 to $100 range. But asks aren't sales, and a lot of these dolls are about to land on doorsteps.

Our team's take: buy where you can return

Slumpd likes these but was honest about the risk. Dawn of the Dance is one of Monster High's best-known lines. The 2010 dolls have sold for $100+, and from his research, it looks like this release got a big marketing push at San Diego Comic-Con. That also means he expects a lot of stock. In his words, how these do "comes down to how much stock is released and how many go to resellers."

Some older Creeproduction dolls aged very well but started out slow. Draculaura is usually the most popular character, but other characters from the earlier Creeproduction set have also held up, some better than others. With most Monster High releases, he said, "we just have to wait and see."

That's why he suggested buying from stores with easy returns:

  • Target: The product page says the item must be returned within 90 days of purchase, delivery or pickup, at any Target store or through Target.com. That makes Target the low-risk choice here. If the dolls start slow and you don't want to hold them, you can send them back.
  • Mattel Creations: You can return within 30 days of receipt, in the condition you received it and in the complete original box. Mattel refunds the price plus sales tax but not shipping or processing fees. Mattel only takes returns on orders placed on MattelCreations.com.
  • Amazon and Walmart: We couldn't load these product pages this morning, so we haven't checked their return terms. Check the seller and return window on the page before you buy.

Our take: buy on Target and hold. If the dolls start hot, you have some ready to sell. If they start slow, Target's 90-day window lets you hold for a while or return them sealed. Slumpd said he'd share Mattel links if retailers are sold out by 12:00 PM ET today.

Resident Evil Medical Courier Popcorn Bucket

This is the theater popcorn bucket shaped like a medical courier (organ transport) bag, made for the 2026 Resident Evil movie. It holds 200 oz and measures 9.5 x 6.25 x 6.75 inches. Preorders came back yesterday at AMC and Cinemark.

  • Retail: $24.99 at the AMC Theatres Shop. The Cinemark Shop listed it at $19.95.
  • Our team's estimated resale: Dennis said it "sells for $200+" but added that "the $200 price probably won't hold." He still expects it to stay good.
  • Limit: 3 per customer on both shops
  • Preorder window: AMC's page says preorders end October 14, that this is "the final production run," and that delivery starts December 8.
  • Status this morning: AMC was still taking preorders. Cinemark's listing showed as unavailable when we checked around 9:10 AM ET.

Dennis pointed out that Cinemark was the cheaper option, about $85 for three versus about $100 for three at AMC. That window looks closed for now.

Cancel and return rules: final sale

This one is not low-risk. AMC's product page says: "THIS ITEM IS FINAL SALE AND NON-REFUNDABLE" and "All sales are final on this item. No returns and no cancellations." Vinch pointed out that you have to check a box agreeing that "this item is a preorder and that all sales are final." AMC's general return policy also excludes items listed as final sale. The AMC page adds that the bucket doesn't earn AMC Stubs points and doesn't work with promo codes.

Cinemark's listing is also tagged as final sale, and its return policy excludes final-sale items, so expect the same terms if it comes back.

What eBay looks like

We checked eBay US around 9:15 AM ET on October 1, sorted by newest. These are active listings (asking prices), not sales. The search showed 46 results, most of them presales for December delivery. Buy It Now asks mostly ran from about $85 to $195. An auction for an AMC bucket was at $91 with 21 bids and hadn't ended yet.

Our team's take: buy, knowing it's final

Dennis said he usually doesn't do bucket preorders, but "this is the exception": it's "super hard to find and cheap." His reasons: a lot of fans missed this bag the first time, people liked the movie, and the fan base is huge. Vinch said it's the first bucket he's bought in a long time. Our take: worth a preorder at $24.99 if you're fine with no way out. You can't cancel or return it, and it won't ship until December, so expect prices to settle well under today's asks.

Also in the channel

Slumpd also shared two restocks yesterday: the Pokémon GO Plus+ back on the Nintendo Store, and the PlayStation 5 Pro on Dell for members who buy those. Our team didn't post resale estimates for either. We couldn't load a price or stock status from either page this morning, so we're not covering them in detail.

How FNF members hear about these

All of these came through our lowkey flips Discord channel. That's where our team posts under-the-radar drops with the retail price, an estimated resale, when and where the drop is, the per-person limit and a direct link to the product, and pings members so they don't miss it. Members also get the honest caveats, like Slumpd's "wait and see" on Monster High or Dennis saying the $200 bucket price probably won't hold.
