Lowkey Flips Today: LISA DualSense & Monster High (Oct 2)

· 7 min read · By the Friends & Family team

A highly limited LISA DualSense goes up for preorder at 10 AM ET today, and PlayStation Direct lets you cancel up to about six days before release. Plus first sold prices on the Monster High dolls and one Star Wars preorder our team is keeping.

Three things are worth a look today. The DualSense Wireless Controller – LISA Limited Edition goes up for preorder on PlayStation Direct at 10:00 AM ET. The Monster High Dawn of the Dance dolls we covered yesterday sold out fast, and there are first sold prices to look at. And our team made a call on the Star Wars: Galactic Racer preorders: keep the Collector's Edition and cancel the Deluxe.

LISA x PlayStation DualSense: preorders at 10 AM ET

This is a limited-edition PS5 controller designed with LISA. The PlayStation Blog says her bangs and eyes are on the touch pad, with her signature stars and "LL" lettering, on a Chroma Pearl colorway. It works with PS5, PC, Mac and mobile.

  • Retail: $84.99, per the PlayStation Blog. Our team listed it at $84.
  • Our team's estimated resale: Slumpd didn't give a number. He called the best case "some high upside."
  • When: Preorders open October 2 at 10:00 AM ET, while supplies last. The controller releases October 30, 2026.
  • Where: PlayStation Direct in the US. The blog also mentions "participating retailers globally," but Slumpd said nothing is loaded at US retailers as far as our team can tell. He's about 75% sure it's a PlayStation Direct exclusive here.
  • Limit: The product page says "Due to high demand, there is a limit of 1 per order."
  • Membership: None listed on the page. PlayStation Direct checks out through your PlayStation account.

Sony calls the supply "highly limited." Slumpd's question: do they mean it? "Only one way to find out."

Cancel and return rules

This is one of the rare preorders where you have a way out. PlayStation Direct's preorder support page says you can cancel "up until the item enters the shipping process, in general 6 days before the currently scheduled release date." Your card is pre-authorized when you order and charged when the item is ready to ship. One catch: a canceled preorder "can't be reinstated."

If it ships, the product page lists free 30-day returns. The returns policy gives you 30 days from the ship date. The controller has to be in original condition with everything it came with, and PlayStation Direct sends a prepaid FedEx label.

Our team's take: preorder it

Slumpd's view: same approach as every limited controller. Buy because there's little downside, then see how it goes. Best case, it has real upside. Worst case, you cancel before it ships or return it. With a $84.99 price and those rules, this is a low-risk preorder. Just remember the cancel window closes about six days before October 30.

Monster High Dawn of the Dance: day two

The five Dawn of the Dance reproduction dolls went live October 1. For the full drop details, see yesterday's lowkey flips post. Here's how the day went in our channel:

  • Amazon went live early, about 11:45 AM ET, ahead of the noon drop Slumpd expected. Walmart went live at noon, and Amazon's regular product pages followed a minute later.
  • By late morning on October 1, most characters were already sold out at Target. Slumpd said only Clawdeen Wolf was still in stock there.
  • By about 12:15 PM ET, Draculaura was sold out at Walmart, and Lagoona Blue was sold out at Mattel Creations.
  • By about 2:30 PM ET, Slumpd reported Draculaura and Lagoona sold out everywhere, with restocks still popping up.

What eBay sold listings show

We checked eBay US sold listings around 9:40 AM ET on October 2, new condition, sorted by most recently ended. These are completed sales, not asking prices. Most of the recent sales were Draculaura and Lagoona Blue at about $60 to $90, plus shipping on some. A couple of Frankie Steins sold for about $63 to $65. One five-doll lot sold for $280.

Most of those sales were presales from sellers who don't have the doll yet. That's normal on day one, but those buyers are counting on dolls that haven't shipped.

Our team's take: hold, and keep the receipt

Prices so far land inside Slumpd's $60 to $100 estimate. That's roughly double the $32.99 retail. He still expects a lot of stock and restocks, so the early number may not hold. As we covered yesterday, Target's page gives you 90 days to return. Mattel Creations takes returns within 30 days of receipt in the complete original box.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer: keep the CE, cancel the Deluxe

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a racing game from Deep Silver/Plaion, coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X. Slumpd posted an update on the preorders members placed earlier. His advice: cancel the Deluxe Edition.

The Collector's Edition is a different story. It comes with a metal landspeeder model, an 80-page art book, two racing pilot patches, a banner and a steel case. It went up for preorder at $159.99, according to Resell Calendar's report. Slumpd said in the US it only ever dropped on Amazon. When we loaded the Amazon page for the PS5 version this morning, it read "Currently unavailable" and listed a release date of October 6, 2026.

  • Our team's estimated resale: Slumpd said "some presales are $225+." He also said there aren't a ton of sales yet, and he thinks they'll pick up if the game reviews well.
  • eBay check: We looked at US sold listings around 9:35 AM ET on October 2. Most CE sales since mid-September were $213 to $250, almost all of them presales. The three most recent, on October 1, were $212.99, $223.99 and $249.95. Some used Best Offer, so the final price may have been lower.

Amazon's return rules

Amazon's return policy says most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery "in original or unused condition." There's a catch for this one. Video games that are "opened, activated, used, or missing parts" can be charged a restocking fee of up to 100% of the item price. If you might return it, keep it sealed.

Our team's take: let it ship, decide sealed

Slumpd is letting his CE preorders ship and taking a chance on reviews, since he can return them if they don't take off. Whether you want yours to ship before the market picks up is up to you, and he said so. Keep it sealed until you decide.

Also in the channel

Dennis flagged another collector cereal box: a Walmart-exclusive Count Chocula "Fuzzy Collector's Box" honoring Jim Henson, with a soft, fuzzy box. Walmart's page listed it at $7.76 for 18.8 oz and showed it out of stock for shipping when we checked this morning. Dennis guessed the other three boxes will drop later and said he's "not expecting much." It's a cheap shot at best. We didn't check Walmart's return terms for it.

How FNF members hear about these

All of this came through our lowkey flips Discord channel. Our team posts under-the-radar drops there with the retail price, an estimated resale, when and where the drop is, the per-person limit and a direct link, and pings members so they don't miss the window. That includes early heads-ups like today's 10 AM controller preorder. Members also get follow-ups after the drop, like today's cancel-or-keep call on Galactic Racer and the sellout updates on Monster High.
