Lowkey Flips Today: Zelda 40th Switch 2 & Bratz (Oct 23)

· 5 min read · By the Friends & Family team

The Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 launches next Thursday, and our team says the numbers are profitable but not huge. Plus, a Bratz x The Craft doll that sold out fast.

What's worth a look today? Two things. Our team posted a full market watch on the Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 gear, which launches October 29, and a Bratz x The Craft Nancy collector doll that sold out on its own site and is now unavailable on Amazon. Here's what we verified and what our team thinks.

Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2: console, controller and case

Nintendo's own store lists the Nintendo Switch 2 – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition at $519.99, releasing October 29, 2026. It has a black-and-gold dock with a Triforce symbol and green-and-gold Joy-Con 2 controllers. The game isn't included.

From Nintendo's store, read this morning (October 23):

  • Console: $519.99
  • Pro Controller, Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition: $99.99
  • Pro Controller with display stand: $109.99
  • Carrying Case & Screen Protector: $39.99
  • Release date: all four are listed for October 29, 2026.

We couldn't tell from the page whether a per-person limit applies or what the current stock status is, so check before you plan around either.

Retail vs the team's market numbers

Our team's market watch, posted late last night, put the eBay sold-listing numbers like this:

Item Retail Market (per our team)
Console $520 $680+
Controller $100 $155+
Controller with stand $110 $200+
Carrying case $40 $60+

We didn't load eBay ourselves today, so those figures come from our team's post, which linked sold-listing searches. Treat them as an estimate, not a promise.

One practical tip from the post: with an eBay basic store, the team says console selling fees are only 7.35%, which leaves roughly $60 to $70 profit per Switch, depending on your tax rate. That's profit before your own shipping and supply costs, so run your own math.

What our team thinks

Their words: prices are profitable, but maybe not profitable enough for some. They expect more stock on release day as people cancel pre-orders, and plan to post links before launch. On the long game, the team thinks these will do better than the last Zelda consoles because it's early in the Switch 2 life cycle and it's a big anniversary for one of the best-loved game series. They're putting some away themselves, and said a push closer to the holidays is possible depending on release-day stock.

Team take: Hold for the patient, and only if the short-term profit isn't the point. If you're on the fence, the team's suggestion is to let it ship and decide, since you can return it within the window.

Can you cancel or return it?

Straight from Nintendo's pages, for orders placed directly on the Nintendo Store:

  • Cancel: Nintendo's order FAQ says there's "a small window" after placing an order where you can cancel. If it already shipped, you have to set up a return.
  • Return: You have 30 days after delivery to return or exchange. Nintendo won't refund shipping unless the item was damaged, defective or wrong.
  • Condition matters: Nintendo won't accept items that have been opened, unsealed or aren't in original condition. So "let it ship and decide" means deciding with the box still sealed.

Other retailers have their own rules, which we didn't read for this post.

The game comes next

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2 is listed on Nintendo's site for November 5, 2026. Our team said they'll cover it in a week, with a likely cancel, though they plan to stash some foil covers long term regardless. We'll keep that for the next update.

Bratz x The Craft Nancy Collector Doll

This is a collector doll based on Nancy Downs from the film The Craft, with two outfits and accessories, including a dagger, a spell book and a snake in a jar, in VHS-inspired packaging.

What we saw on the Amazon page this morning:

  • Availability: "Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock."
  • Price: not shown, because there's no buy box while it's unavailable.
  • Returns: the page lists Amazon's 30-day return guarantee.

What our team said yesterday: the doll sold out on the Bratz site, where it was about $10 more than on Amazon. A channel post put current resale around $200, but said that's subject to change, and that restocks are worth watching. We didn't verify an eBay price ourselves.

Team take: Sales were described as strong, but because it's sold out, there's nothing to act on unless stock comes back. Amazon's help page says you can cancel physical items that haven't entered the shipping process, and Amazon's page lists a 30-day return window, but that only helps if you can buy one.
