Four dated Magic releases land between Oct 12 and Nov 13, plus one Secret Lair drop with no date at all. Here is the calendar, the official prices, and what is still unconfirmed.

Magic's next five weeks are crowded. A Secret Lair superdrop goes live tomorrow, a convention box lands on Oct 19, a Marvel countdown kit is reported for Nov 2, and Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek arrives on Nov 13.

This is a calendar, not a buy list. Every date and price below comes from Wizards' own pages unless we label it "reported." For deeper takes on individual products, follow the links.

TBA Secret Lair Doomsdrop Nothing announced beyond the name

Oct 12: Corn Maze Superdrop

Eight drops go on sale Oct 12 at 9 a.m. PT on the Secret Lair store, with a pre-queue that opens at 8 a.m. PT. Wizards says adding items to your cart does not reserve them, so checkout has to be completed.

  • Each drop: $29.99 non-foil, $39.99 foil
  • Bundles: $539.99 for all 16 editions, $319.92 for the 8 foils, $239.92 for the 8 non-foils
  • Promo: one foil Maze of Ith "The Labyrinth" for every $199 spent, while supplies last
  • Shipping: free over $99

Wizards' announcement does not state a return policy, so read the store's terms before you check out. We ranked every drop in our Corn Maze breakdown.

Flip / hold / pass: this is the one with a clock on it. Wizards does not state how long the drops stay on sale, so the real question is how many copies you want of the one or two editions you believe in, not whether to buy the whole bundle.

Oct 19: Festival in a Box: Atlanta 2026

On Oct 19 the Secret Lair store sells Festival in a Box: Atlanta 2026 at $249.99, limited to two per customer, while supplies last. Inside:

  • 1 Mystery Booster Commander Edition box (24 boosters)
  • 1 Secret Gallery: Atlanta, Foil Edition (4 reprints with new art from Atlanta artists)
  • 4 promo cards: Dance of the Dead, Tana, the Bloodsower and Tymna the Weaver (full-art textless foils), plus the playtest card Auspicious Aquarium

Wizards calls it the first wide release of Mystery Booster Commander Edition, which had only been sold at convention events. Wizards' post doesn't give a start time. Our full numbers are in the Festival in a Box breakdown.

Flip / hold / pass: the limit of two caps how much you can flip, and the box is $50 above last year's Vegas version. It's a hold-or-pass decision on contents, not a quick-flip one.

Nov 2: Marvel's History of Heroes Countdown Kit (reported)

The Secret Lair store lists Countdown Kit: Marvel's History of Heroes as "Coming Soon," with no price or date. Coverage of the New York Comic Con reveal reports $199.99, 30 cards and a Nov 2 sale date in "special limited quantity." Treat all of that as unconfirmed until the store page updates.

Our Countdown Kit write-up has what we know about last year's kit. The one thing to do now is set a reminder for the store's notify-me signup.

Secret Lair Doomsdrop: no details yet

Secret Lair's X account teased "the first look from the upcoming Doomsdrop," and the store lists it as "Coming Soon." There is no price, date or contents. Don't plan around it.

Nov 13: Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek

The big set release of the window. Tabletop release is Nov 13, 2026, MTG Arena on Nov 10, and prerelease events run Nov 6-12. Official MSRPs from Wizards' "Collecting Star Trek" article:

Product MSRP
Play Booster $6.99
Collector Booster $37.99
Bundle $69.99
Beam Me Up Bundle $99.99
Draft Night $119.99
Scene Box $41.99
Commander Deck $74.99
Collector's Edition Commander Deck $159.99

Details that matter for collectors and holders, per Wizards:

  • Seven signed headliner cards, each hand-signed by the actor who played the character, about 250 copies of each, found only in Collector Boosters.
  • 30 "Stardates" reprints with Star Trek art (non-foil in Play and Collector Boosters, traditional foil in Collector Boosters only).
  • Set codes: TRK (main set), TRC (Commander) and SDS (Stardates).

What to watch: The signed cards are the obvious chase items here. Wizards publishes the print-run figure of roughly 250 per signature, but nothing yet tells us what a signed copy sells for or how many will be opened. We'd wait for prerelease results and the first sold-listings data before paying a premium on sealed Collector Boosters.

Further out

  • Marvel: Darkhold Destiny: Apr 9, 2027 (see our preorder piece)

  • Kamigawa: Titanbreach: Jun 4, 2027

How we're approaching this month

Four rules we're using, and you can steal them:

  1. Know the sale window. Secret Lair drops and Festival in a Box are sold while supplies last, so decide the quantity before the timer starts.
  2. Separate official from reported. The Countdown Kit price and date are still reported only.
  3. Check the return terms yourself. Wizards' announcements don't spell them out, so confirm on the store page.
  4. Wait on Star Trek sealed. Prices on a new set are loudest the first week. Let the prerelease play out.

We cover each of these in our Magic: The Gathering group, and you can browse every article in the Magic category. None of this is financial advice, and card prices can fall as easily as they rise.
