One Piece EB-05 Gold DON!! and Alt Art Leaders: Chase Guide

· 4 min read · By the Friends & Family team

One Piece EB-05 hits shelves October 30, and the official closeups of its chase cards are already out. Last set's gold DON!! sells for $60 to $80 raw, while its alt art leader sold for $10. Here's where the money is.

One Piece Card Game EB-05 Heroines Edition vol.2 releases in English on October 30, 2026, and the first official closeup videos of its chase cards are going around. AndyCollectz posted the gold alt art DON!! on October 17 (it was his most-liked EB-05 post, with 250 likes), followed by alt art leaders for Robin, Shirahoshi and Vivi.

We covered the sealed side of this wave in our Heroines Precious Box article. This one is about the cards inside the packs, and which ones are worth chasing.

What's confirmed about EB-05

From Bandai's official English product page:

  • Release date: October 30, 2026
  • Price: $4.99 per pack, 12 cards per pack (printed on the pack)
  • Size: 75+2 card types, tournament legal 7 days after release
  • New Leader: Nico Robin (EB05-010)
  • Special (SP) cards: six types, including Miss Buckingham Stussy, Perona, Boa Hancock, Vinsmoke Reiju, Gerd and Charlotte Pudding
  • EB05-055 Nami: an exclusive alt art by Kentaro Yabuki, the creator of To Love-Ru

A 24-pack box works out to about $120 at MSRP. Bandai hasn't printed a box price or pull rates, so we can't tell you how often the gold DON!! shows up. Treat any pull-rate number you see online as unconfirmed until opened boxes prove it.

The chase cards from the official closeups

Andy's posts are official closeup videos, so they show the real foil treatment:

  • Gold alt art DON!! (posted October 17). The card the community reacted to most.
  • Alt art Leaders: Robin (October 17), Shirahoshi (October 18) and Vivi (October 19).
  • EB05-055 Nami, the Yabuki alt art on Bandai's own product page.

We're not naming a "best card" yet. Prices don't mean much until real packs are opened.

What EB-03's chase cards sell for

The best guide is the last Heroines set, EB-03. We checked eBay sold listings today (October 19) for English cards:

  • Nami Gold DON!! (EB-03): raw copies sold for about $60 to $80 between August and mid-October ($79.99 on August 2 and August 26, $64.99 on September 28, $60 on October 15). The $60 sale is the most recent.
  • Special Set copies: listings of the Gold DON!! pulled from the Heroines Special Set sold for $105 (October 8) and $125 (October 4).
  • Vivi EB03-001 alt art Leader: one English copy sold for $10 on October 17.

The gap is the lesson. Last set, the gold DON!! held real money months after launch, while an alt art leader sold for a fraction of that. A sample this small isn't a market, but the pattern fits how One Piece works: DON!! gold cards are scarce and every player wants one, while leaders are more common.

Flip, hold or pass?

Sealed EB-05 boxes at retail: buy if you can. EB-03 boxes were still selling well above retail seven months after release (see our earlier article for the numbers). A sequel set doesn't have to repeat that, but the downside at $120 is small.

Singles: wait for the first week of sold prices. Early prices swing hard. If the EB-05 gold DON!! opens above EB-03's $60 to $80 raw range, selling pulls fast is the safer play. If it opens below, hold. Grade only the best copies.

Alt art leaders: don't pay a premium. The EB-03 Vivi leader sold for $10. Unless a leader is tied to a strong deck, expect leaders to land well below the gold DON!!.

Run the fee math before you list. On a $70 card, eBay's trading card rate (13.25%) plus the order fee takes roughly $10. Our reseller fees guide covers every platform.

What to watch before October 30

  1. Preorder prices for boxes. Prices well above $120 mean demand is already priced in.
  2. More official closeups. Bandai is still revealing cards, and each reveal moves prices.
  3. Release-week sold listings. The first week sets the baseline for every single.
  4. Reprints. If Bandai prints heavily, raw prices drop. EB-03's price history is the thing to compare.
