The DualSense Wireless Controller – LISA Limited Edition is a $84.99 PS5 controller made with BLACKPINK's LISA, and it ships October 30. Pre-orders opened October 2, and early presales on eBay went for about $140. Short version: it's a small flip right now, not a big one. The reason is simple. As long as anyone in the US can still pre-order it at retail, buyers have little reason to pay a reseller much more.
What the LISA DualSense is
Sony announced the controller on the PlayStation Blog on September 21. Here's what's confirmed:
- Product: DualSense Wireless Controller – LISA Limited Edition (PS5, PC, Mac and mobile)
- Price: $84.99 in the US, £74.99 in the UK, €84.99 in Europe and ¥12,480 in Japan
- Pre-orders: opened October 2 at 10 AM local time, while supplies last
- Release date: October 30, 2026
- Design: LISA's bangs and eyes across the touch pad, her signature stars and a bold "LL," on a Chroma Pearl finish (her favorite color, per Sony)
- Supply: Sony says it's available in "highly limited quantities" from PlayStation and participating retailers
Wario64 posted the US pre-order links on October 2: Target, Walmart, PlayStation Direct, Best Buy and GameStop. PlayStation Direct is limiting orders to one controller each, according to Resell Calendar.
There's also a LISA x PlayStation merch line: apparel, hats, tote bags, keychains, stickers and a DualSense carrying case. Some pieces went up for pre-order on PlayStation Direct on October 2, and more land on LISA's official Amazon store on October 23, the same day her new EP, Press Play, comes out.
What it's selling for on eBay
We checked eBay sold listings for US presales:
- 13 sales, almost all on October 2, from $132.41 to $173.90
- The middle of the pack was about $144
That's roughly $50 to $60 over retail on paper. But the volume is thin, and nearly every sale happened on launch day, when the hype was highest. Resell Calendar, which tracked the same early sales, called the controller a "brick" for exactly that reason: pre-orders never fully sold out.
Is it still in stock?
As of October 4, the LISA DualSense still shows as available to pre-order on PlayStation Direct in the US.
That's the whole story for resellers. When a buyer can click "pre-order" at $84.99 on PlayStation's own site, a $140 eBay listing is a hard sell. Prices usually only climb once retail stock is truly gone.
Has this happened before?
Limited-edition DualSense controllers do tend to end up above retail once they sell out. The best recent example is the Marvel's Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition. It now shows as "currently unavailable" on PlayStation Direct, and on eBay we counted 60 sales since mid-September, mostly around $135 to $145, with a middle price of about $139.
Not every limited controller gets there, though. The two Grand Theft Auto VI limited-edition DualSense controllers are still up for pre-order on PlayStation Direct today. "Limited edition" on the box doesn't guarantee a sellout.
The math
eBay takes about 13.6% plus $0.40 on video game items, charged on the sale price plus shipping and sales tax. Your cost is $84.99 plus tax (call it $92).
- At $140: about $20 in fees leaves roughly $120, so around $28 profit before you pay to ship it.
- At $120: about $17 in fees leaves roughly $103, so around $11 profit before shipping.
A controller is cheap to ship, but at these prices you're working for $15 to $25 a unit, with a limit of one per order on PlayStation Direct.
Flip, hold or pass? Our take
Day-one flip: that window has mostly closed. The $140+ sales happened in the first hours. With pre-orders still open, presale prices are more likely to drift down than up.
Hold through launch: a reasonable, low-risk bet. Here's why it can still work:
- The downside is small. PlayStation Direct offers a full refund before it ships and 30-day returns after delivery, per Resell Calendar. If prices don't move, you can send it back.
- The fan base is real. LISA is one of the biggest names in K-pop, and the release lands one week after her new EP. Fans who aren't watching restock alerts may only find out after it's gone.
- The Wolverine precedent is encouraging. Once that controller sold out, it settled around $139, about $55 over retail.
What would change the call:
- A sellout. If PlayStation Direct, Target, Walmart, Best Buy and GameStop all go out of stock before October 30, prices should firm up.
- A restock or a second wave. "Highly limited" is Sony's wording, but there's no confirmed number. More stock would cap prices near retail.
- Launch week sales. Watch eBay sold listings around October 30. That tells you whether to sell right away or hold.
Keep it sealed. Collector-grade controllers sell on the box, and an opened one is just an $85 controller.
