Walmart added the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box to its Collectibles Draw page this week. It's priced at $69.00. Walmart lists the drawing as starting today, October 7, at 2:00 PM PT (5:00 PM ET), the same time as its 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box drawing.
Prismatic Evolutions is almost two years old, and its ETB is still one of the most-wanted sealed products of the Scarlet & Violet era. Here's what's in the box, what it sold for on eBay this week, and whether Walmart's price makes sense.

The rest of this article is about the Prismatic Evolutions ETB. For the 30th Celebration ETB, see our 30th Celebration ETB price and resale guide. We covered the Mini Tin display and Booster Bundles in our first Walmart 30th Celebration drawing article. Walmart's prices on those two are a little lower this time ($129.00 and $64.00, down from $129.70 and $79.94).
What's in the Prismatic Evolutions ETB
The Pokémon Company's product page lists the contents:
- 9 booster packs of Prismatic Evolutions
- 1 full-art foil Eevee promo card
- 65 card sleeves with Eevee art
- 45 Energy cards, a player's guide, 6 damage-counter dice, a coin-flip die and 2 condition markers
- A collector's box with 4 dividers
- A code card for Pokémon TCG Live
The ETB came out on January 17, 2025. Its suggested retail price is $49.99, according to collector price trackers. The Pokémon Company's product page doesn't list a price. At $69.00, Walmart is charging about $19 more than MSRP.
The Pokémon Center version is a different product and sells for much more (one sold for $415 on eBay on October 7), so make sure you're comparing the standard ETB when you check prices.
What it sold for on eBay this week
We checked eBay sold listings for the standard (non-Pokémon Center) Prismatic Evolutions ETB on October 7:
- Most single ETBs sold for $125.50 to $140 on October 6 and 7, through both auctions and Buy It Now. One auction ended at $131 after 17 bids, and another at $125.50 after 23 bids.
- A sealed case of 10 ETBs sold at auction for $1,375 after 26 bids on October 6. That's about $137.50 per box.
- A lot of three sold for $421 at auction, about $140 each.
Those are recent sales, not a prediction. Prismatic Evolutions has been reprinted more than once. Our own Sam's Club Prismatic Evolutions restock video from February shows how large one of those restocks was. Even so, the ETB was still selling well above MSRP this week. If Walmart's drawing sells a lot of units, short-term prices could slip, so check sold listings again before you list.
The fee math
eBay's final value fee for Collectible Card Games is 13.25% of the total sale up to $7,500, plus $0.40 per order over $10. Before sales tax, shipping and supplies:
- Sold at $130: about $17.63 in fees leaves $112.37. That's about $43 over Walmart's $69.
- Sold at $125.50: about $17.03 in fees leaves $108.47, about $39 over $69.
- Break-even: you'd need to sell for about $80 just to get back $69.
Sales tax is charged on Walmart's price, and an ETB is a bulky box to ship, so your real margin will be a bit smaller. But even if prices fall by a third, $69 is still under the break-even line.
Walmart's drawing rules
Walmart's draw page explains how it works. The parts that matter most for this drawing:
- Entry is free. You need a Walmart account, and you can enter each drawing once.
- Choose your address, payment and quantity before you enter. Walmart says your entry "can't be canceled or changed" afterward.
- Winners are picked at random after entries close. Walmart says it may remove entries it believes are fraudulent or abusive.
- If you're picked, Walmart places the order for you and charges the payment method you chose. You're only charged if the order goes through.
- Canceling after you win: Walmart says you "may be able to cancel" if the order is still eligible and hasn't been fulfilled.
- Returns: Walmart says items bought through a drawing "may not be returnable" and follow its return policy. Plan on keeping what you win.
Walmart also says it may change, suspend or cancel a drawing, so check the page before 5 PM ET.
Flip, hold or pass?
This is our analysis, not a promise.
Flip: At this week's eBay prices, a $69 Prismatic ETB clears fees with about $40 to spare, and the case sale shows buyers are still paying around $137 per box in bulk.
Hold: Prismatic Evolutions is built around Eevee and its evolutions, and the ETB was still selling at more than twice MSRP nearly two years after release, through several reprints. Nobody knows whether more reprints are coming. If you'd keep a sealed box anyway, a $69 entry is a reasonable price to hold one.
Pass: If you're only flipping and you don't want to risk a non-returnable box, the risk is a big reprint pushing prices down. Even then, $69 is well under this week's sales, so there aren't many reasons to skip entering.
Entering costs nothing, and you're only charged if you're picked. Choose a quantity you'd be happy to keep, and don't count on winning.
