KPop Demon Hunters Costco Collector Box: Flip or Pass?

· 4 min read · By the Friends & Family team

Costco's KPop Demon Hunters Collector Box costs $53.99, and sealed copies have been selling for $70 to $80 on eBay for weeks. It just went up on Costco.com, and the Huntrix version already shows out of stock. Here's whether the math actually works.

Kayou's KPop Demon Hunters Collector Box is a Costco exclusive, and on October 6 AndyCollectz posted on X that it was available on Costco.com. When we checked the product page on October 7, the Huntrix version was already listed as out of stock.

Short version: the box does sell over retail, but not by enough to make a clean eBay flip once you pay fees and shipping. The real value is inside the box, and in how hot KPop Demon Hunters is right now.

What's in the Costco box

Costco lists it as Kayou - K-Pop Demon Hunters - Huntrix - Energy Edition Trading Cards and Holder (item 2022357).

  • Price: $53.99 online, shipping included. Members only.
  • Limit: 1 transaction, max 2 units per membership every 24 hours
  • 10 Energy Edition packs: 80 cards, 8 per pack, from Kayou's Wave 1 set
  • 1 promo card: Derpy and Sussie (KPDH01-PR-01), the card that first showed up at San Diego Comic-Con
  • 1 three-layer acrylic card frame, Huntrix style
  • Ages: 8+

News reports from late September say there are two versions, Huntrix and Saja Boys, each with its own themed packaging and frame. They also say the bundle saves over 20% compared with buying everything separately (about $69.89). Wave 1 is reported at 130 possible cards across 11 rarity levels. We only found the Huntrix version on Costco.com.

What it sells for on eBay

This isn't a brand-new box. eBay sold listings show sealed copies moving since at least mid-September, which suggests it hit some warehouses before it went online. Here's what we saw when we checked on October 7, 2026:

  • Recent sales (Sept 29 to Oct 5): $64.49 to $80, with most at $75 to $76, often plus $8 to $11 shipping
  • Mid-September: $79.99 to $89.99, and one Saja Boys box at $95 with an accepted offer
  • The Derpy and Sussie promo by itself: mostly $19.99 to $39.99 (one outlier sold for $3)
  • Energy Edition booster boxes (12 packs): about $44.99 to $49.99

So prices are holding about $20 over retail, but they've slid from the $80s to the mid-$70s as more boxes reached the market.

Flip, hold or pass? Our take

Sealed eBay flip: pass, or close to it. Here's the math on a typical sale:

  • Buy at $53.99 plus about 7% tax: $57.77
  • Sell for $75.99 plus $7.99 buyer-paid shipping ($83.98 total)
  • eBay's 13.6% fee plus $0.40: about $11.82
  • Shipping a 15.75-inch box that weighs about 1.9 lb: about $10 (our estimate)
  • Profit: about $4

Sell at $75 with free shipping and you're losing about $3. It's a big, light box, and shipping eats the margin. If you can sell locally with no fees, a $75 sale is about $17 profit, which is worth it for two boxes but not much more.

Parting it out: maybe. If the promo keeps selling for $25 to $35 and loose Energy Edition packs hold their value, a box can be worth more in pieces than sealed. That only works if you're already set up to sell singles and packs, and it means opening product, so you take on the pull risk.

Hold: watch it, don't stack it. KPop Demon Hunters is everywhere right now. Kayou boxes, Funko and Netflix tie-ins are all moving on eBay, and Magic's Secret Lair collab drops on October 12. That's real demand. But Costco is a big retailer, there are two versions, and resale prices are already dropping, not rising. A sealed hold is a bet on the movie's staying power, not a sure thing.

Our call: if you're a KPop Demon Hunters fan or you open product, two boxes at $53.99 is a fine buy. If you're only buying to flip sealed on eBay, skip it unless you find it in your local warehouse and can sell it locally.

What to watch

  1. Costco restocks. The Huntrix box went out of stock online fast. If it doesn't come back, resale could firm up.
  2. The Saja Boys version. It's the less common one on eBay. If it shows up on Costco.com, it may be the better buy.
  3. The Secret Lair drop on October 12. A big Magic drop could pull more collectors toward KPop Demon Hunters cards. Read our take on Secret Lair x KPop Demon Hunters.
  4. Promo card prices. If the Derpy and Sussie promo climbs, opening boxes makes more sense.
