Three things came through our lowkey flips channel in the last day. The headliner is the Hot Wheels RLC Exclusive 1985 Pontiac J2000, a $33 Red Line Club car that our team estimates at $55+. Behind it are an Amazon-exclusive Scream (1996) 30th Anniversary 4K pre-order that Slumpd thought "looked cool," and the Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition, which Vinch put at around $110 in resale but which Amazon no longer had in stock when we checked.
Hot Wheels RLC Exclusive 1985 Pontiac J2000
This is a 1:64 Red Line Club tribute to Rick Dobbertin's 1985 Pontiac J2000, the pro street car Mattel's page says was named "Hot Rod of the Year" in 1986. Mattel describes a dual-tilt opening body that shows the engine and chassis, a ZAMAC body in bright yellow enamel with replica pinstripe graphics, and the debut of Real Riders Pro Strip wheels. It comes in an acrylic case inside a decorative slipcover.
Here's what the Mattel Creations product page showed on October 7, 2026, around 8:00 AM ET:
- Product: Hot Wheels RLC Exclusive 1985 Pontiac J2000
- Price: $33.00
- Drop: October 6, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET (from our team's post)
- Limit: 2 per person (the listing is tagged with a 2-per-person limit, and Slumpd's post says the same)
- Membership: Red Line Club members only. The page carries the "Members Only" badge for RLC items.
- Status: Still listed as available to order (backordered) when we checked. Mattel says purchase limits can change at its discretion.
- Shipping: Slumpd's post says it ships on or before November 13, 2026.
Retail vs. our team's estimated resale
- Retail: $33
- Our team's estimated resale: $55+, per Slumpd. That's our team's read of the market, not a promise.
Slumpd's honest caveats: he wished it were "a little cheaper than $33," and said prices "look ok with decent presale volume." He believes this is a first-time casting, so prices could rise on a quick sellout, but "we just have to wait and see." He noted collector forums seem excited because it's based on a real 1980s drag car.
We tried to check eBay sold listings this morning, but eBay showed a verification page instead of results, so we couldn't confirm sold prices ourselves. Look up sold listings before you list, and remember fees. Our reseller fees breakdown shows what comes out of a sale.
Mattel's cancel and return rules
We read Mattel Creations' policy pages before writing this:
- Canceling: Mattel's FAQ says: "Once an order is submitted, it cannot be changed or canceled." Slumpd's post mentioned calling to cancel, but Mattel's own FAQ rules that out, so plan on a return as your way out.
- Returns: Mattel's return policy allows returns of items bought on MattelCreations.com within 30 days of receipt, for a refund or exchange. Items must be "in the condition received and in the complete original box and/or packaging." Shipping and processing fees aren't refunded.
Because a sealed car can go back within 30 days, this is a low-risk buy at retail. The worst case is losing shipping and processing fees, not the whole $33. Keep the slipcover and case untouched if you might return it.
Our team's take: buy a few and hold
Slumpd said he's personally buying a few, and that these "look to be set up better than some previous cars." If you're an RLC member and it's still available, our team's view is that it's worth a look at the 2-per-person limit. It ships in November, so this is a hold, not a quick flip. If you're new to the Red Line Club side of things, our breakdown of whether reselling Hot Wheels is worth it and our write-up on the RLC Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 cover how these drops usually play out. Scream (1996) 30th Anniversary 4K (Amazon exclusive)
Slumpd's post was short: Scream is "a horror staple," this edition is exclusive to Amazon, and he thought it "looked cool." It's a pre-order, not a confirmed flip.
Here's what the Amazon product page showed on October 7, 2026, around 8:05 AM ET:
- Product: Scream (1996): 30th Anniversary Edition (Amazon Exclusive) [4K UHD]
- Price: $109.99 in the buy box
- Release date: December 15, 2026. The page says "Pre-order now."
- Seller: Shipped and sold by Amazon.com
- Studio: Paramount Pictures, rated R
- Limit and membership: No per-customer limit or membership requirement was shown on the page.
Retail vs. resale
- Retail: $109.99
- Estimated resale: Our team didn't post a resale number for this one, so we won't guess. Treat it as a speculative pre-order.
Amazon's cancel and return rules
- Canceling: Amazon's "Cancel Items and Orders" page says you can cancel items "shipped and sold by Amazon that haven't entered the shipping process" from Your Orders. A December pre-order can be canceled any time before it ships.
- Returns: Amazon's return policy says most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery "as long as they are in original or unused condition." Keep it sealed.
- Seller matters: Those rules cover orders sold by Amazon. Amazon says third-party orders can typically be canceled within one business day, then need the seller's approval.
Because you can cancel before it ships, a pre-order from Amazon at $109.99 is low-risk. It ships in mid-December, which gives you over two months to watch the market and cancel if nothing develops.
Our team's take: wait and see
This is a watch item. Slumpd flagged it as something that "maybe" has legs because of the movie's following. If you want in, pre-order from Amazon itself and decide closer to December 15.
Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition
Vinch posted the Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition, the translucent green controller with a "25" on the top case that celebrates 25 years of Xbox. He put resale at around $110 and noted you could buy if you hadn't hit Amazon's purchase limit.
When we checked the Amazon page on October 7, 2026, around 8:10 AM ET, it said "Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock." No price was shown, so we couldn't confirm retail.
Our team's take: watch for a restock
With Amazon sold out, there's nothing to buy right now. If it comes back on Amazon (sold by Amazon), the same cancel and return rules above apply. Check the price against the team's ~$110 estimate and your fees before you buy. If you can only find it marked up, pass.
How FNF members hear about these
All three came through our lowkey flips Discord channel. Our team posts under-the-radar buys there with a direct link, the retail price, a resale estimate when they have one, and an honest read on the risk. Members get pinged for the time-sensitive ones, like yesterday's RLC drop, so they're not finding out after it sells out.
