Mariah Carey – Glitter (25th Anniversary) comes out October 30, 2026 on Def Jam and UMe, according to Universal Music's announcement. The collector version is a numbered Glittering Pink 2LP with a signed lithograph and foil numbering, listed at $89.98 on the uDiscover Music store. uDiscover describes it as the first time the 2001 album has been pressed on vinyl.
What you get
- Glittering Pink 2LP, four sides, 15 tracks including three bonus tracks: "Out Here On My Own," "Never Too Far/Hero (Medley)" and "Loverboy (Firecracker – Original Version)"
- Signed lithograph and foil numbering. Universal says only "a very limited number" of signed editions exist, and we could not find an official edition size.
- A separate standard 2LP on Midnight Purple vinyl, 12 tracks, with no signature. We could not confirm its price.
The deluxe colored vinyl is sold through Mariah Carey's Amazon store, her official shop and uDiscover Music, per Universal. The uDiscover listing for the signed edition currently shows as sold out.
What it sells for
Our releases page records an eBay sold average of $392 across 6 sales as of October 26, 2026, against the $89.98 retail price. Those are presale listings checked before the record ships, and six sales is a small sample. Our entry also notes the retailer ships within 7 business days after the October 30 release.
One date detail: the uDiscover listing carries a street date tag of October 23, while Universal's announcement says October 30. We use October 30 and treat the tag as unconfirmed.
Why this matters for resale
- First vinyl pressing. The album has never been on vinyl before, so the market has no older copy to compare against.
- Signed and numbered. A signed lithograph in a small run is what collectors chase.
- Sold out at the source. When the official store is out of stock, buyers go to eBay.
- Mariah demand. Her catalog reissues have a loyal buyer base, and Glitter is a fan favorite.
Risks and the case against
- Presale prices are not final. Early sellers ask high, and the premium often shrinks once copies ship and buyers can see how many exist.
- Unknown run size. "Very limited" is not a number. A bigger signed run means a lower price.
- Signature authenticity and condition. Buyers will want proof the litho came sealed from the official store. Damaged corners or a split seam cost you.
- Fees and shipping. On a $392 sale, marketplace fees and shipping take a real cut; see our reseller fees guide.
- Delays. Vinyl shipping slips happen. Do not sell something you do not yet hold if the marketplace rules forbid it.
- Not a sure thing. The standard purple version and future repress would hit demand for the pink one.
Flip, hold or pass
This is analysis, not a promise.
- Flip: If you hold a confirmed signed order at retail and sold prices stay well above $89.98 after fees once the records arrive.
- Hold: If you are a Mariah collector. Sealed, numbered signed copies are the kind of record that tends to keep its value.
- Pass: If the only way in is an eBay presale at several hundred dollars. After fees there is little margin.
