The Pokémon x Polaroid Go cameras are $99.99 at retail and sell for about $119 to $146 on eBay. After fees the camera barely clears retail, but the $24.99 Poké Ball case sells for around double.

The Polaroid Go Generation 3 – Pokémon Pikachu Edition and Sylveon Edition each retail for $99.99, per Engadget. The larger Polaroid Now Generation 3 – Pokémon Edition (Poké Ball design) is $139.99. Pre-orders opened August 25, 2026 and the line went on general sale October 5. Polaroid is making the collection in limited quantities but has not published how many, so there is no official rarity number.

On eBay, new Pikachu Go cameras have sold for about $119 to $146 in our check on October 30, 2026, a premium of roughly $20 to $45 over retail before fees.

The flip math

eBay's rate is 13.6% plus $0.40 per order for most categories, charged on the item price and shipping (eBay selling fees):

  • Pikachu Go camera at $125 sold, $7 shipping charged: fees about $18.35, shipping cost about $8. You net roughly $105.65, about $6 over the $99.99 retail, before sales tax.
  • Poké Ball case at $50 sold, free shipping: fees about $7.20, shipping about $5. You net roughly $38 against $24.99 cost, about $13 profit (about 50%).

These are estimates and depend on your shipping method.

Why this matters for resale

  • Pokémon is the strongest collectible brand, and 2026 is the franchise's 30th anniversary year, per Essential Japan.
  • Limited quantities are confirmed by Polaroid, though not quantified.
  • Accessories get overlooked. Cases and straps cost little and the sold prices run 80% to 140% above retail.
  • Easy to ship. All of it is small and light.

Risks and the case against

  • Thin camera margin. A $20 to $45 gap shrinks to almost nothing after fees.
  • Falling prices. Presales sold at $140 to $155. General release on October 5 pushed that toward $120 to $130.
  • Wide retail availability. The cameras are sold through Polaroid and Pokémon Center, and retail stores got them October 5, so restocks are possible.
  • Plenty of sellers. our eBay search returned more than 170 sold listings, so you are competing with many sealed units.
  • Film is perishable. Instant film has an expiry date and heat damages it, so do not hold it long.

Flip, hold or pass

This is analysis, not a promise.

  • Flip: The Poké Ball case, album and strap, if you can still buy at retail. The percentage return is the best in the line.
  • Hold: If you collect Pokémon or Polaroid. A sealed camera set with the matching case is a clean shelf piece.
  • Pass: The cameras above retail. At $99.99 retail and about $125 sold, the math does not leave room.
