Target 30th Celebration UPC Drop & Big ETB Restock

· 5 min read · By the Friends & Family team

A new Target stock list lists both 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collections, Day and Night, plus a huge Elite Trainer Box restock. UPC presales on eBay are selling at nearly 2 times Target's $249.99 price.

Our team's newest Target stock list came in this morning, and it has two things Pokémon resellers have been waiting on. The 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collections (Day and Night) are on it as new releases, and the 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box is on it with a very large restock number.

This is not confirmed by Target. Target hasn't announced a date. Our team's read is that the drop is tentatively set for the next overnight window and subject to change, which is how these lists have gone before. Several earlier drops this month didn't land when expected.

What the Target stock list shows

The list is our team's tracking of what's loaded in Target's system. It's a heads-up, not a promise that anything will be on a shelf or website at a given time.

New releases listed

  • 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection: Day
  • 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection: Night
  • 30th Celebration Ditto Premium Collection and Figure Collections (Mew and Mewtwo), which Pokémon lists for November 6 (our price breakdown)
  • The Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box, Booster Box, Booster Bundle and 3-pack blister

Restocks listed

  • 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box: the list shows 140,000+ available, by far the biggest number on it
  • 30th Celebration Poster Collection: 30,000+
  • Pitch Black Booster Bundle: 15,000+
  • 30th Celebration Sylveon ex Box, Greninja ex Box, Booster Bundle, Mini Tin and First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3: between about 1,000 and 5,000 each
  • Ascended Heroes Tins and the Pitch Black ETB: under about 1,000 each

The list gave no stock count for the UPCs, so we don't know how many boxes Target has. Don't assume it's anywhere near the ETB's number.

What's in the 30th Celebration UPC

Both versions have the same contents, per The Pokémon Company International. Only the promo Pokémon and accessories differ: Espeon for Day and Umbreon for Night.

  • 29 30th Celebration booster packs
  • 1 30th Celebration Classic Collection booster pack
  • A foil Pikachu ex promo and a foil Espeon ex (Day) or Umbreon ex (Night) promo
  • A playmat, 65 card sleeves, a deck box, a metal coin and 6 damage-counter dice
  • A Pokémon TCG Live code card

The launch date is November 6, 2026, but Target has loaded the listings early, and a drop before then is not unusual. Our Ultra-Premium Collection breakdown has the full details. Price: our team's check of Target's listing data shows $249.99 for each version. That's well above the $179.99 that Miniature Market and Bill's Archive reported earlier, and Pokémon's own page doesn't list a price, so treat $249.99 as the working number until Target's page goes live and confirms it.

What the UPC and ETB are selling for on eBay

We checked eBay sold listings on October 8, 2026.

Ultra-Premium Collection (mostly presales, so sellers don't have the box yet):

  • Single boxes sold for about $399 to $542 on October 7 and 8. Most were roughly $455 to $500.
  • A Day + Night lot sold for about $1,030 to $1,057.
  • A 4-box case sold for $1,999.99 on October 7.

Presale prices are the highest the product will probably see. Once real boxes ship, they usually soften.

Elite Trainer Box (the box is out, so these are real sales):

  • Most single ETBs sold for about $130 to $140 on October 8. A few went higher, up to about $165.

That's still about 2.7 times the $49.99 retail price, but lower than the roughly $145 middle price we saw on October 2. A 140,000-unit restock, if it happens, would likely push that down.

The fee math

eBay's final value fee for Collectible Card Games is 13.25% of the sale up to $7,500, plus $0.40 per order over $10. We checked eBay's selling fees page today. Before sales tax, shipping and supplies:

  • UPC sold at $455: about $394 after fees, or roughly $144 over a $249.99 price.
  • UPC sold at $400: about $347 after fees, or roughly $97 over.
  • UPC break-even: you'd need about $289 to get $249.99 back.
  • ETB sold at $135: about $117 after fees, or roughly $67 over $49.99.
  • ETB break-even: about $58.

Can you return it?

Plan on no. Target's returns page says: "Effective January 30, 2023, trading cards & trading card accessories are no longer able to be returned." Pokémon trading card products are final sale at Best Buy and Pokémon Center too, as we covered in our ETB article. If you buy and prices fall, you're holding the box or selling it for what you can get.

Flip, hold or pass?

This is our analysis, not a promise.

Flip: At $249.99 the UPC still has room at today's $400 to $540 presale prices, but it's thinner than it looked at $179.99. If presale prices fell by a third to around $300, you'd be barely above the $289 break-even. The risk is the same as with any launch: a lot of boxes reach buyers at once, and presale prices usually soften when they do.

Hold: The UPC is the box collectors tend to keep sealed. The 2021 Celebrations UPC is our reference. When we checked earlier this month, Walmart Marketplace sellers were asking $1,340 and up for it. Those are asking prices, not sales, and market conditions were different. Still, holding one at $249.99 is a fair choice if you can afford to sit on it.

ETB: At $49.99 it's an easy flip today, but treat a 140,000-unit restock as a warning. The more boxes that reach people, the closer eBay prices drift to the $58 break-even. If you plan to sell, sooner is safer.

Pass: Don't pay presale prices for a box you can try to get at retail, and don't trust "it's live" posts until the page you're on is sold and shipped by Target.
