Final Fantasy Resonance launched on October 22, 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The Collector's Edition with the game is $209.99, according to Essential Japan's coverage of the Square Enix reveal. The same collector's goods without the game are $150.00 on the Square Enix Store, where the listing shows sold out.
What you get
- Acrylic block set with pixel-art characters, summons, bosses and logos
- Pixel art book, a 120-page hardcover
- Original soundtrack, a four-disc CD set with 120 tracks
- Final Fantasy Trading Card Game promo card, Dark Fina (PR-233/8-042L)
- In the Collector's Edition: the physical game and a Digital Deluxe upgrade code
The Square Enix listing says the $150 goods box does not include the game or the upgrade code, and that it is sold only through the Square Enix Store. We could not confirm exactly how the $209.99 edition is packed, or whether the game copy ships inside the box or alongside it. The game on its own was reported at $49.99, which we have not verified from an official page.
What it sells for
We do not have a sold price. Our releases page lists the edition at $209.99 and our eBay check turned up too few matching sales to publish an average, so we leave it blank rather than guess. Check completed listings yourself before buying: the listing needs to match the exact edition and platform.
Why this matters for resale
- Store-exclusive. The goods box is sold only through the Square Enix Store, and it is already out of stock there.
- Franchise demand. Final Fantasy collector's editions have a buyer base; see our Final Fantasy VII Revelation Collector's Edition guide.
- Platform choices. Different platform versions split the supply, so one version can be scarcer than another.
- TCG promo card. The promo card gives collectors of the trading card game a reason to want the set.
Risks and the case against
- No proven premium. Without sold data, any markup is a guess.
- Unknown supply. Square Enix has not published how many it made, and the full edition may have been restocked or may still be available.
- Big outlay. $209.99 plus tax and shipping ties up real money for a box that is bulky to ship.
- Fees. Marketplace fees and shipping eat into a thin margin; see our reseller fees guide.
- Resale after launch. Many collector's editions peak before the game launches and cool off after reviews and restocks.
- Condition. Sealed boxes sell for more; open it and most of the premium goes.
Flip, hold or pass
This is analysis, not a promise.
- Flip: If you hold a sealed copy bought at retail and completed sales for your exact platform sit well above $209.99 after fees.
- Hold: If you are a Final Fantasy collector. The art book, soundtrack and acrylics are the draw.
- Pass: If you would have to pay an eBay markup to get one. With no confirmed sold prices, the downside is larger than the upside.
We track collector's editions on our releases page. See also our guides to the Persona 4 Revival Collector's Edition, the Fable Collector's Edition, the lowkey flips category and how to find products that resell.
