Searches for "genshin impact ps5 controller" rose about 450% in the past 24 hours, according to Google Trends (US, checked November 2, 2026). The DualSense Wireless Controller – Genshin Impact Limited Edition has a recommended retail price of $84.99. Sony calls it a "limited quantities" release and has not published a print run, so there is no official number for how rare it is. Best Buy now says the item is no longer available in new condition, and sealed copies sold on eBay for roughly $114 to $186 between October 15 and November 1, mostly around $115.
Genshin Impact DualSense controller price: how much is it?
Retail prices, per the PlayStation Blog announcement (December 1, 2025):
- United States: $84.99
- Europe: €84.99
- United Kingdom: £74.99
- Japan: ¥12,480
- Release date: January 21, 2026 in select Asian markets, including Japan. February 25, 2026 in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
- Pre-orders: started December 11, 2025 at 10 a.m. ET on PlayStation Direct in the US, in limited quantities.
- Design: a white, gold and green palette with arcane glyphs, plus emblems of the Traveler twins Aether and Lumine and their companion Paimon. It keeps the standard DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Is the Genshin Impact DualSense sold out?
New units are hard to find at the big US retailers:
- Best Buy: the product page says "This item is no longer available in new condition" (checked November 2, 2026).
- PlayStation Direct: the product page we tried returned a 404 (checked November 2, 2026), so confirm stock yourself.
- Restock: Sony has not announced one. We could not find an official statement, so treat any restock as unconfirmed.
Stock changes by retailer and by day, so check before you count on a price.
How rare is the Genshin Impact DualSense?
There is no published number. The only official wording is "limited quantities" on the PlayStation Blog. Treat any specific print run you see online as a rumor.
Genshin Impact DualSense eBay sold price: what is it worth?
Checked on November 2, 2026 (eBay completed, sold listings, US, sorted by most recent):

The pattern: sealed copies mostly clear around $115, which is about $30, or 35%, above the $84.99 retail price. A handful of sealed sales in mid to late October reached $134 to $186. We could not tell from the listings whether those prices included shipping, so treat them as the top of the range. Used controllers sold for $79 to $110, and modded listings (for example, with replacement sticks) were left out.
Genshin Impact DualSense flip math
Using eBay's rate of 13.6% plus $0.40 per order (eBay selling fees), assume you sell a sealed controller at $115 and spend about $8 to ship it:
- Fees: about $16.04.
- Net after fees and shipping: roughly $91.
- If you bought at $84.99: a profit of about $6, or 7%, before sales tax.
- If you buy it on eBay at $115: you lose money when you resell at the same price.
At the top of the range ($134), the net is about $110, which would be a profit of about $25. Those sales are the exception, not the typical price. Our reseller fees guide lists current rates by marketplace.
Why did searches for the Genshin Impact controller rise?
We could not find an official reason. The controller has been on sale since February, and neither Sony nor HoYoverse has announced a restock or a new version. Game updates and holiday shopping tend to move searches for collector items, but we cannot tie this spike to a specific announcement. Treat the 450% as a sign of interest, not of sales.
Flip, hold or pass? Our take
This is analysis, not a promise.
- Flip: Only if you can still find a new one at or near $84.99. The profit is about $6 at the usual $115 sold price, so it is thin.
- Hold: If you play Genshin Impact or collect PlayStation limited editions. Sealed boxes with Sony's limited-edition packaging are what buyers pay for, and new supply has dried up at Best Buy.
- Pass: Paying $115 or more on eBay to resell. At that price, the fees and shipping eat the gap.
