November is the busiest Magic month of the year for sealed buyers. The Secret Lair Countdown Kit: Marvel's History of Heroes goes on sale today, Nov 2, a Star Trek Secret Lair superdrop follows on Nov 9, and Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek reaches tabletop on Nov 13, with some products running late.

This is a calendar, not a buy list. Every date and price comes from Wizards of the Coast's own pages unless we say "reported." For our October version, see the October calendar.

The November calendar at a glance

Nov 2: Marvel's History of Heroes Countdown Kit price

Wizards says the kit launches Nov 2, 2026, only on MagicSecretLair.com, at $199.99. Per the announcement, each kit holds 30 individually packaged Magic cards, each tied to an era of Marvel history, with art from more than 30 artists. Cards appear randomly in non-foil, foil or surge foil. Two of them, Doctor Strange, Master of Magic and Beta Ray Bill, are uncommons from Marvel: Darkhold Destiny, and Wizards says they become legal in all formats from that set's prerelease on April 2, 2027.

The page we checked does not state a numeric print run. Last year's kit also cost $199.99 and was sold in limited quantity on Secret Lair only. We went through the full card list, the refund policy and flip math in our Countdown Kit price and resale breakdown.

One thing to know before you buy: Secret Lair's refund policy says charged orders are final, with a support form only for damaged or defective items. This is not a return-friendly purchase, and we would not call it low risk.

Flip / hold / pass: we have no sold data for this kit yet because it only just went on sale, so we are not putting a resale number on it. If you missed it, check eBay sold listings (not asking prices) over the next week before you pay a premium.

Nov 9: Star Trek Secret Lair superdrop

Set Phasers to Superdrop goes live Nov 9 at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET on the Secret Lair store. Wizards lists six drops, with five revealed and the sixth still to come. Each drop is $29.99 non-foil and $39.99 foil, and Wizards gives one foil Return of the Wildspeaker "Transporter Boondoggle" promo per $199.99 spent, while supplies last. The pre-queue opens at 8 a.m. PT, and adding to cart does not reserve anything.

The drop-by-drop list, the bonus-card math (five foil drops are $199.95, four cents short) and the fee table are in our Star Trek superdrop price guide.

Nov 13: Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek

Tabletop release is Nov 13, MTG Arena is Nov 10, and prereleases run Nov 6-12. Wizards' published MSRPs:

Product MSRP
Play Booster $6.99
Collector Booster $37.99
Bundle $69.99
Beam Me Up Bundle $99.99
Draft Night $119.99
Scene Box $41.99
Commander Deck $74.99
Collector's Edition Commander Deck $159.99

Full breakdowns: booster box and bundle prices, pull rates and shock lands and the signed cards.

Is Star Trek delayed? What to know before you preorder

Yes, partly. On Oct 16, Wizards said "due to production and shipping issues" some Star Trek products may arrive later than expected, and the delays vary by region. Play Boosters and Prerelease Packs are on track. In North America, Commander decks are delayed and may arrive after Nov 13. Other regions have a longer list, including Collector Boosters, Bundles and Draft Night. Wizards says timelines are "fluid" and that it will update the announcement. The regional breakdown is in our Star Trek delays article.

Further out

  • Nauctis: The Sunken Realm: Feb 5, 2027
  • Marvel: Darkhold Destiny: Apr 9, 2027, with prereleases from Apr 2 (see our preorder prices)
  • Kamigawa: Titanbreach: Jun 4, 2027

How we'd approach November

  1. Decide quantity before the timer starts. Secret Lair sales run while supplies last, and checkout is final.
  2. Wait on Star Trek sealed. New-set prices are loudest in week one, and late Commander decks make the first-week supply picture unclear.
  3. Use sold listings, not asking prices, once a product has been out for a few days.
  4. Fee math first. eBay's published Collectible Card Games rate is 13.25% up to $7,500 plus $0.40 per order over $10, so a $199.99 kit has to sell near $235 just to return your money before shipping.

We talk through each of these with members in our Magic: The Gathering group, and every Magic article is in the Magic category. None of this is financial advice, and prices can fall as easily as they rise.
