Walmart's Collectibles Draw page lists the Mega Evolution: Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box at $89.99 for a drawing with an entry window of October 28, 2026, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM PDT. Sealed copies sold on eBay the same day for roughly $100 to $125. That sounds like an easy flip until you run the fees.
What Walmart is drawing today
From the draw page, checked on October 28, 2026, the Pokémon items in this round are:
- Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box: $89.99 (Walmart shows a crossed-out "was" price of $199.95, which is a list price, not the MSRP)
- Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box: $69.00
- 30th Celebration Knock Out Collection 4-Count Bundle: $47.92
The same drawing also lists a One Piece Mini Case Set at $154.97. Walmart picks winners at random, so entering is not the same as getting a box. We covered the Prismatic ETB in an earlier Walmart drawing, and the Knock Out Collection in our Walmart 30th Celebration drawing breakdown.
What is in the Ascended Heroes ETB
According to Pokemon.com, the box has:
- 9 Mega Evolution: Ascended Heroes booster packs
- 1 full-art foil promo card featuring N's Zekrom
- 65 card sleeves and 40 Energy cards
- Dice, a coin, a player's guide, a collector's box with dividers and a Pokémon TCG Live code card
It released on February 20, 2026. Pokemon.com does not list a price. Retailer listings put the standard MSRP at $49.99, so Walmart's $89.99 is about 80% over the usual sticker price. Don't confuse this with the Pokémon Center version, which has a different pack count and sells for far more. We covered that one in our Pokémon Center invite article.
What it sold for on eBay
I checked eBay's sold listings for "ascended heroes elite trainer box" on October 28, 2026. Brand-new, factory-sealed standard boxes sold at:
- $100.00
- $109.99
- $110.00 (auction, 15 bids)
- $112.99
- $125.00
Sam's Club bundles that include a Poké Ball sold higher, at $120 to $135 each. Those are a different product, so I left them out of the main range. Lots of two sold for $240 to $260.
Prismatic Evolutions ETBs sold between $115 and $159 on October 28 and between $125 and $130 on October 27. That is a much wider gap over the $69 Walmart price.
Fee math for the Ascended Heroes box
eBay's Collectible Card Games rate is 13.25% plus $0.40 per order over $10 (checked today). The fee is charged on the total including shipping and tax, so the real number is a little higher than this item-only version. Tax rates vary; I used 7% as an example.
| Sale price | eBay fees | After fees | Profit vs. $96.29 all-in* |
|---|---|---|---|
| $100 | about $13.65 | about $86.35 | about -$9.94 |
| $110 | about $14.98 | about $95.02 | about -$1.27 |
| $125 | about $16.96 | about $108.04 | about +$11.75 |
*$89.99 plus 7% example tax, before packaging and any shipping you cover.
At the middle of the sold range you roughly break even. You only make real money if you land the top of the range, and that is before shipping supplies.
Winning, canceling and returns
Walmart's draw page lists FAQ headings on cancellations and returns, but the answers didn't expand for me today. When we read them on September 30, Walmart said drawing items "may not be returnable" and follow its standard return policy, and that you can only cancel an order if it hasn't been fulfilled. Check the current wording on the page before you enter, and assume you can't send a box back. Also set your payment, address and quantity before entering. Walmart's earlier rules said you can't change them afterward. This is not a low-risk flip.
Flip, hold or pass?
This is analysis, not a promise.
- Ascended Heroes ETB at $89.99: pass for most people. The eBay range barely clears your cost after fees and tax. It only works if you already have a buyer at $125 or more.
- Prismatic Evolutions ETB at $69: the better flip on paper. Sold prices were well above cost, but it is a drawing, so it only counts if you win, and the same fees apply.
- Hold: if you want the box for yourself, $89.99 is close to what it sells for anyway. Collectors, not flippers, are the ones who win here.
